1. I thought that people were exaggerating but after listening to them, they really can't sing

 

2. They were off tune. Looks like you can be a singer as long as you sing with your throat

5. No but there are comments saying that the tune was lower in the original song and I went to listen to it and.... it just seems like they can't sing?ㅜㅜㅜ This is seriously severe. They are not even dancing and are just singing while standing. At the minimum, they should be able to pull off their own songs. It's not like we're asking them to show us transcending skills and these are just the fundamentals... you guys are not dancers but singers no?....

 

6. I went to listen to the original song and the song itself sounded a bit weird? It sounded so machine-made? I'm surprised that they even sold 600K albums

Even in the official audio it was so obvious that they could not sing like when jake attempted that high note in the bridge i felt physical pain. I was shocked. I was in tears hunny. It's bad even by Hybe's standards.

To this day I still don't understand why HYBE doesn't invest on some f***ING vocal coach/trainer... The main critic towards all their group in their vocals since... Forever ? And yet they do nothing.

 

I know their groups are talented on their own and the logic is probably "why would we go through all the trouble when our groups are popular without it ?" But damn it wouldnt hurt to try.

Can't they imagine their groups with their current talent but with amazing vocals on top ? They would be unrivaled but looks like they don't care and never will.

That was painful to watch. They sing like they're at a karaoke place.They really don't have any member qualified to be a vocalist. 

Earlier, around several months ago, TXT got criticized for their encore too. BTS Jimin was criticized a couple of years ago. Even with all these criticisms, HYBE didn't do shit to improve their idols' singing skills.

I just don't get why sometimes they sound okay and then sometimes they sound like that. I think this was right after that. It was streamed like 7 hours ago. They do need a better vocal coach though.

Enhypen and TXT do not sing as bad as they seem, but their agency doesn't even try to give them a low register easier songs. They keep giving them high key songs and do not provide them some vocal training, most of them have some degree of damage in their vocals. Giving them this type of songs does not make them improve their vocals it just makes them worse. If they invested in some good vocal trainers they wouldn't have to make all their groups have to go to public humiliation.

The only function for this group is for HYBE and CJ ENM to make some quick and easy money. Not surprise when they don't have any stellar singers.

I mean.. its not like HYBE ever cared about vocals honestly.. If we look at all their groups, only Seventeen and Gfriend can sing and they are just from acquired companies, so HYBE didnt train them...

This is why I can't agree entirely with this notion that it's not a big deal if idols are bad singers because their job is to make people happy. It's true that idols aren't primarily singers and if an idol is only here for being a main dancer/main rapper/stan attractor I don't really care for their vocals. But an idol group should also be balanced and have at least two decent vocalists. It's common sense and a formula that basically all Kpop groups used to follow until now.

I used to believe that they weren't aware of it since their producers think that being a good vocalist = hitting high notes. But yeah Hybe just doesn't care. They know fans will lie to themselves and gas up subpar vocals because they can't bear any criticism against the idols they like.

I love TXT but I can admit they're not very good vocalists. And that's a shame because if Hybe was as ambitious as they are money-hungry and gave them good vocal coaches, they'd be a flawless idol group imo.

This. I really love TXT and BTS but what the majority of a fandom (in general not only those two) refuse to accept is that you can admit your favs flaws without it = hating, forcing yourself to be blind or in this case deaf and living in the delulu world won't change the reality of things.

Exactly, it makes me literally mad to see Hybe (or Bighit let's not avoid naming them) so stubborn !!! I can't understand why they refuse so badly to give their group REAL vocal lessons, it only has positive aspects so why do they refuse so badly to put in any kind of effort into it.

IF ONLY THEY STOPPED USING SO MUCH AUTOTUNE AND INSTEAD PUT WORKS IN REAL VOCALS, gosh I can't believe I used to love this company and now can't stand the direction they stick to.

 

But ofc the main reason is like you said they know the fans will just protect their favs at any time and will reject any criticism.

I blame I-LAND, the show basically gave viewers zero opportunities to evaluate the talents of individual members under the guise of “teamwork”

great. But hyoyeon, taemin, Seulgi, Yunho, Lay, Kai, etc are still some of the best dancers.

 

Vocals, obviously are the best in the industry.

Back to enhypen... I am so used to hearing shit vocalists struggle singing even the easiest of lines that this encore didn't faze me at all LMAO. They sounded mediocre but girl I've heard some shit. Flashback to Selena Gomez's performance in the VMA's.
