Article: Kim Sun Ho's admittal of scandal causes another look at past statements "I caused the academy to go bankrupt"

Source: Han via Naver

1. [+9,124, -224] So when he was in junior and high school, he caused two after school academies to go bankrupt and made his own teacher jump off the second floor. The fact that he said all this in an interview like it was no big deal makes me question who he is as a human being.

2. [+3,234, -69] All there is to life is taking responsibility for the results caused by your actions. Kim Sun Ho is reaping what he sowed.

3. [+2,335, -89] None of this would be such a big deal if he was some C-list name right now... but the problem seems to be that someone who wasn't fit for the status hit too big of a daebak. Please go back to where you belong.

4. [+1,451, -68] Seems like anyone with poor character has decided to join the celebrity industry! I can't stand any of you!! That hypocritical 'kind' image! It makes me sick!

5. [+1,280, -42] He's really going straight down to rock bottom as soon as he got a glimpse of fame

6. [+466, -5] Amazing that he made his own teacher jump from the second floor... If it was truly a joke, wouldn't he have opened it in the end... that's not a joke, man...

7. [+440, -7] He wasn't some "class clown" in school, he was just terrible;;; He requested tutoring and then reported them;; then locked a door on his teacher, forcing them to jump down to get out;; goosebumps...

8. [+316, -8] How is making your academy go bankrupt a joke? To make the teachers who taught you go unemployed?

9. [+307, -6] Ab*rtion scandal aside, I'm more shocked by the academy interview. It might've been a joke to him but can you imagine how terrified the teacher must've felt? Kim Sun Ho is a psychopath.

10. [+293, -14] Yesterday, I noticed there were a lot of comments hating on the woman, and even people trying to apologize on her behalf like that made everything okay for her.. seems like a lot of those comments are gone today. The most ridiculous comment I found was someone accusing the woman of blowing it out of proportion when she could've just kept her experience as a fond memory or something. Forcing her to get an ab*rtion, promising to live with her, promising to get married to her with no intention of keeping it, dumping her through a phone call in the early morning... Who would ever want to keep this experience as a "fond memory"? I also remember a YouTube comment that said the woman is not holding Kim Sun Ho back from his future, his past self is, and I 100% agree.

11. [+269, -9] He locked the door on his teacher and forced them to jump from the second floor...? He caused two academies to go bankrupt...? How is this in any way a simple 'joke' that a junior and high school student can play? And to proudly say all of this in an interview? Even if he was young, did he not feel any guilt?;;

12. [+201, -13] While seeing all of this go down, I've realized that at least Chen is the better person ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ He may have disappointed his fans but he took full responsibility until the end

1. [+1,880, -44] Character is everything. Even if you can't be kind, at least don't cause harm. You can never cover the entire sky with your hand. The truth will always be revealed.

2. [+890, -27] Kim Sun Ho went too far with this one. You must be crazy to force your teacher to jump from the second floor.

3. [+436, -31] He is the new onion man ㅋㅋㅋ more scandals the more layers you peel from him. What's next?

4. [+384, -23] You can get pregnant in a relationship, it happens... and you can discuss getting an ab*rtion, that happens too.. and breaking up? That, too. Especially since his career was ramping up... but to lie to her about marriage in order to manipulate her into getting an ab*rtion? That's straight up fraud. That's not a matter of character anymore but a criminal offense, no?

5. [+132, -46] What is the point of bringing the past up now? I'm sure he already wants to die with all of the stuff that's been exposed about him already, are you just egging him on now by bringing all this other stuff up? Just stick to the actual scandal at hand.

Article: Kim Sun Ho is leaving '1N2D'

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+870] Sun Ho-ya, I won't follow you out... goodbye

2. [+426] As he should

3. [+335] Are you happy that you disappointed your fans like this? I'm disappointed in myself for ever sending you so much support;;;

4. [+574] The poor '1N2D' members and the producers... especially DinDin, he seemed to really be in love with the show. I really hope '1N2D' looks into getting some shaman to come lift their curse 😢

5. [+129] I was one of those who firmly remained neutral when the scandal first broke out... but all I got was betrayal in the end... ㅠㅠ

6. [+260] As an actor, he needed to have been more careful about his private life. All of his hard work just crumbled in one moment 🤔🤨

7. [+1,490] Takes 35 years to build something and 35 minutes to crash it all down...

8. [+64] Please just live quietly and never come back

9. [+705] As he should. I don't want him on TV anymore.

10. [+49] As he should. Everyone knows the truth now.

1. [+271] As always, international fans are determined to defend everyone. They even forgave Seungri... I really don't understand international fans at all. They don't know the difference between a mistake and a wrong. All the Koreaboos care about is their oppa...

2. [+162] I doubt he would've apologized if the scandal never happened

3. [+97] I'm more surprised at the people promising to still love him even though it's been revealed that the woman's story is all true. You guys have some amazing love going on, treating him like he's God or something.

4. [+58] I waited all this time with the belief that it wasn't him because I trusted all the stories of him being a good person during his theater days.. Sigh, he really betrayed fans with this one.

5. [+66] I'm more surprised at his lack of character at choosing to apologize only now that this has blown up. He never thought to apologize before? Haha, I was just about to start binging 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha' but I'll be cutting that off now... 🤦‍♀️

  • Tania changed the title to [NETIZENBUZZ] Kim Sunho Exits '1N2D'

Oh wow if the story was true he's worse than jerk boyfriend....

Edit :

Quote

[""the actor's past remarks in an interview after appearing in the play 'Voice of Millenium' in 2016 is catching attention. Kim Seon-ho revealed at the time, "I was a naughty person in middle and high school. I ruined two academies."

He stated, "At that time, tutoring was illegal but I was getting tutored at an art academy. But because I didn't want to go to class, I blocked the door and teacher had to jump off the 2nd floor. There were 30 sticks on roof of another house. I got hit a lot. In the end I reported the academy for illegal tutoring."""]

so I guess it's true. The academies were illegal back then, yet he (requested???) was made to attend them , and because he didn't like them he reported them (it?). Asshole in his teen, but I guess he still hasn't changed 😬

If all of that is true.....HE MADE HIS TEACHER JUMP OUT OF 2 STORY BUILDING?!?!?! WTAF?!?!?! How did he EVER have a career in the first place???? Does he come from a wealthy or influential family? Cause there is no way a normal teen would have gotten away with that and then then went on to become a celeb. And who does he think he is bragging about bankrupting 2 different businesses?! Business owners put everything into their business. And he just ups and ruins 2 because he felt like it? He's trash. Absolute garbage.

EDIT: I sincerely hope those Hagwon owners, and their families,  didn't harm themselves or go bankrupt due to his scummy behavior.

Just thinking about it makes me even madder. If those Hagwon's he got shut down, were English academies, he really fucked over people. Most English Hagwon's hire native English speakers and they are mostly foreigners. The VISA EFL teachers get is the E2. That visa is tied directly to your job. So, if you lose you job, you have to switch to the D-10 Visa (if they haven't changed the process) and get a new job within 60 or risk being in the country illegally or getting deported and/or blacklisted. And trust me they do have random, periodical immigration checks. And unless they changed the law, there is monetary compensation for turning in illegal aliens. Also your housing most of the time is tied to your job. So again, no job=no house or housing stipend. There's also the "11th hour firing" to consider. Now that "custom" is pretty shitty to begin with. What happens is employees will fire EFL teachers in the 11th month to avoid paying their severance. Most packages include flight reimbursement, pension, bonuses, and any other owed money. Literally some places will look for the smallest infraction to fire teachers to avoid paying. Severances vary and the higher amounts can got up to 10K. Mine, before I got fired for going to the hospital, was around 4-5K (my director was corrupt and didn't know how to properly run the school. I later found out it went bankrupt. I suspect he was also stealing money because it was losing 30K a month.) Tenure also affects how much you get. But the point I am making here is, if those Hagwon's were English ones and the teachers were close to their contract completion, he screwed those teachers over in every possible way. Even if the hagwon wasn't an English one, he still ruined the lives of those who worked there.

Mindsets change over time. There's things that used to be a total "no go" back in the day that are considered normal now and vice versa. Besides, he only became popular recently and whoever steps into the light takes whatever darkness with them.

I mean originally, Kim Seon-Ho was practically a nobody. His first role was as the geeky intern(?) in Chief Kim that nobody really paid attention to. It wasn't until Start Up that his popularity skyrocketed.

My fellow OH members...

  Reveal hidden contents

wanna place bets on when another cast member from 1N2D will get embroiled in a scandal? I'm betting by summer of 2022.

Spoiler

I vote Jan/Feb 2022. Although I'm not sure who is still there as I don't watch the show. I just know that it is heavy scandal prone. The best outcome however, would be if people lived their lives without harming others and to the best of their capabilities. Yet, here we are again.

Well since he was a minor at the time, and this would have been between 1996-2005, people probably didn't know the full extent. Social media didn't really exist back then like how it does now. There was Facebook but back then it was mainly for college students. And that didn't even come out until for public use until 2006. Which would have been after he graduated high school. Also, his record would have been sealed because he was minor. Korea is infamous for it's child criminal protection laws. This also didn't happen at a regular school. So no school disciplinary committee wasn't  formed. Another way he was able to game the system. If he would have not told on himself, no one would have known except for those involved. And let's be real who would admit to having an illegal business? Not sure why it wasn't a big thing in 2016 when he mentioned it. It could be he wasn't a big name like now. Could be because the bullying me-too era didn't exist yet. Either way someone as selfish and dangerous as him needs to face the consequences of his actions.
