So Jaehyun is currently being hated on Twitter for having the same name as Jaehyun..... + why hashflags should be limited

I'm really dumbfounded by some NCTzens on Twitter right now. I know it's an unsaid rule how we shouldn't bring Twitter mess here but there's a point by the end to make.

So Golden Child's Jaehyun's legal name is Bong Jaehyun and his stage name is either his full name or just Jaehyun. Now on the tweet embedded above, it has been "ratioed" and the qrts are bombarded by NCT fans. It may appear that most tweets now are from fans defending him, but being active in Ness twt, I can assure you there are TONS of tweets targetting him for literally having the same name.

What seems to be more of an issue is that the hashtag #Jaehyun currently has a hashflag (or the emoji that appears by the end by default when you tweet) that is the face of NCT's Jaehyun. The NCT fans are saying Golden Child's Jaehyun should use #봉재현 instead of #재현 since the latter would generate the hashflag of the NCT member.

I'm really dumbfounded by this because
1. It's his goddamn birth name. He is born into the world as Jaehyun.
2. NCT's Jaehyun is now legally Jung Yunoh, meaning what he's using right now is just a stage name.
3. There are TONS of other Jaehyuns in Korean showbiz namely Ahn Jaehyun, Kim Jaehyun (N.Flying), and the real name of The Boyz's Hyunjae which is Lee Jaehyun. Golcha's, NCT's, N.Flying's, and Tbz's even had a special unit named "Jaehyunz".

Now I know it's just the dumb ones of the fandom which are inevitable parts of the culture but this all rooted with the hashflags. Before, though there were already some bashing when Golcha first revealed they have a member named Jaehyun, there weren't much of a hate train but now that the hashtags on Twitter would be associated to a picture of a certain Jaehyun by default, then it'd be inevitable.

This has been happening to Golden Child every time NCT has a comeback and now that promotions overlapped with AB6IX too, the name Donghyun also has a cherry hashflag on it.

I think this should be limited to group names and non-common names or Twitter should at least have an option to remove it. Honestly, I wasn't much fan of such since there literally can be multiple uses for keyterms and putting in emojis no one asked for is such a capitalist move. Not only is it disrespectful, it also diminishes the purpose of using hashtags in the first place which is to connect tweets to one another. If these are present, the name is as good as copyrighted and would be gatekept throughout the duration.

What do you think about hashflags?
