nothing but superficial reasons tbh. I can’t say I’m surprised since it’s the toxic kpop cycle to leave the older groups for the new younger ones. it sucks but it’s always been like that. that’s why gp recognition is important because it opens other doors for your career when a chunk of the fandom eventually leaves you.

personally, I only leave the fandom when I no longer like the group’s music or a member has done something so toxic that I no longer feel comfortable to support the group. but aside of that, if I like the music I’ll continue to stan regardless if the idol is old.
