Have Itzy become the generic representation of teen crush for 4th gen?

The main issue here is that you're comparing Itzy to Aespa. Yes, they're from two big companies, but the similarities end there. I also don't think Itzy is generic-sounding. While their popularity has gone down considerably compared to debut, it's bound to happen when newer groups start emerging. It always happens to girl groups, and I'm sure the point of interest will soon shift to YG's Baby Monsters in 2022. 

4th gen groups are just starting up, so I'm sure they'll develop something that's unique to them soon. And with members like Ryujin, they'll be fine.
