Let's be real... Next Level becoming a massive hit was one of the most unexpected and wildest things to happen in Kpop and it's not a good thing for the genre.

The song's a fucking mess, it's a remake, it's not very catchy, the dance isn't very striking and Aespa just debuted and weren't topping the charts prior. The only saving grace was that the girls looked great and the MV was beautiful.

Everyone thought that it'd flop. Tbh, I like Aespa but it should've flopped.

And now we're going to have other groups trying to poorly recreate its success with terribly messy songs, bringing us back into another dark period of Kpop like the one that came after SNSD released IGAB.

I sill can't listen to it until the end so bad and messed up it is. Gd's Female President is one of the best songs of the second gen. and unlike Next Level it has bridges and a chorus.
