Girls Planet 999 Debut Lineup Prediction

This is just my personal opinion, anything could happen! Some predictions of the of the final lineup and their rankings 

1. Xiaoting: She is universally loved by almost every viewer of Girls Planet, Mnet obviously adores her, I know that it's unlikely a Non-Korean will be center but even Koreans seem okay with it if it's Xiaoting. There has to be a first for everything and I think Xiaoting could be the first! Her being first in Korean voting says wonders/

2. Yurina: She and Xiaoting are shaping up to be the Sejeong-Somi of this season and I for one love it. Despite her decline in Popularity in Japan Korean viewers and the rest of the international fandoms still love her. It's incredibly unlikely that she won't debut in a high rank in the group at this point. 

3. Yujin: I know people say she might get Gaeun-ed but coming out first on top of the bloodbath that is K-group voting right now is no small feat. She has the love of most of the viewers and clearly has an incredibly dedicated fandom who prioritize in her voting. I hesitate to call anyone a lock bc anything could happen but to me, she, Xiaoting, and Yurina could all be locks. 

4. Mashiro: Mashiro's Japanese fandom alone will propel her into the top 9. She's easily the most popular contestant in Japan. As long as she consistently is edited well and continues to get screentime I see no reason why she wouldn't debut. 

5. Kim Dayeon: Mnet's favorite child is destined to debut and the group is all the better for it. Dayeon is an incredible dancer who can pull off a number of different concepts. We've all been on the Kim Dayeon redemption train for the past three episodes and I'm fine with it. It's clear Mnet wants her to debut come hell or high water. 

6. Ezaki Hikaru: Now there is a possibility she could fall out of the top 9: She's been kind of getting shifted when it comes to screentime but if her fandom keeps voting as consistently as they have been she could debut. I'd love to see her try some new concepts I'm a bit disappointed she's in snake. Hopefully if she debuts we'll get to continue to see more of her versatility. 

7. Kim Chaehyun: An incredible vocalist and all around wonderful presence, any girl that gets the angel edit as often as Chaehyun does is shoe in for debut. Given that her fandom keeps voting and she keeps capturing public and casual viewers attention she'll make it in. 

8. Kang Yeseo: Now here me out I know she dropped out of the top 9 last episode but I think this will encourage her fans to vote even harder. Yeseo is clearly one of the more popular contestants and now that her fans aren't complacent anymore I expect her ranking to go up. 

9. Kim Bora: I can hear you saying "sneak" now but here me out. Nearly every main vocal besides Bora has been eliminated and main vocal stans naturally will gravitate towards the last standing stand-out vocalist. Those who were voting for people like Reina, Yeyoung, Ziyin, and Jiyoon will probably jump ship to Bora. Her popularity among Kfans has also increased recently. Given she survives the next episode I think she has a shot at making it in. 

Some additional comments; 

- Cai Bing, Su Ruiqi, and Huang Xingqiao could all possibly drop from the top 9 next episode with the onset of One-Pick voting. I expect to see People like Xiaorina, Mashiro, and Hikaru, Ranked highly while a lot of C-group and J-group girls will drop due to there being no more filler votes for the most part. 

- There is a possibility of a planet pass though I think it's pretty unlikely, however if it were to happen I think it would probably be only one and these could be some of the candidates: Seo Youngeun, Guinn Myah, Huang Xingqiao, Nonaka Shana

I'm terrified for Yeseo, her rank is dropping so much despite her amazing fate perf.

I think bora might be gauen-ed out. She has a group thats still active after all. 

Also scared for yujin. I dont trust mnet

Your top 9 is very good, but I hope Ruiqi will has a spot in top 9 as well, but her chance is slightly difficult.

My lineup predictions:

1. Xiaoting: Even if she is the first one, she probably won't be the main center but rather the C-center, and the main visual. 

2. Yurina: She is probably not 2nd, but I also see she is the stan attractor and part of the visual line probably

3. Yujin: She is debuting and she is probably the K-group center unless they go girl crush and give it to Yeseo. 

4. Mashiro: I think she will make top 5, and be the Japanese pick and the easily shippable girl in the group. She'll be a lead vocalist and all rounder 

5. Dayeon: She is debuting and I think she will be the member along with Mashiro to go viral, she's the main dancer. She is also probably the beloved kpick. 

6. Ruiqi: I know all Ruiqi stans are aware of her position and so she will debut--but I think she will regret debuting because of the hate. Ruiqi will also be a lead vocalist and all-rounder but I think they will push Mashiro more in that role, and Ruiqi would also be a main rapper. 

7. Chaehyun: She is a main vocalist with no hate or bad feelings associated with her, she took care of all the foreign trainees as well. She'd be the most technically skilled of the group so I think she'd be the second main vocalist. 

8. Yeseo: She has popularity for her stage presence and her personality, I think she'll be the k-it girl of the group because MNET will send her on variety.I  think Yeseo will probably be rank  6-8 but will be the member with the biggest jump with popularity. 

9. Bora: The main vocalist with the leader personality, getting well with C, J and K trainees alike and being very awkwardly funny. I can see a situation where Xinquao/Hikaru makes it in so they add Bora as the 10th member

I don't think Hikaru will debut, I get the feeling she's going to have a MASSIVE heavy evil edit in snake, while Ruiqi is smart enough to avoid evil edits poor Hikaru is very easy to do so. Her company is also TERRIBLE. She's not a lock, at ALL. I think she'll get "Gaeuned" and "Mihoed". 

Xinquiao is a visual but she is probably the most "untalented" member but beloved so I think she will come close to debuting but may not debut as all kvoters go to ktrainees. 

Yaning is going to reconcile with Yujin at the end and people are going to regret all the hate on her. 

Myah could also get the planet pass, but I think the problem with that is that she's not particularly great at anything besides her personality and her peers have been improving.

I can see Chaehyun as the only real vocal making it in. I think just like in fromis's case there has only been one real vocal member (Jiwon) that made it but what is more important is that there is someone who can also push out high notes, not necessarily well but be able to hit them at least (Hayoung). This member is usually referred to in korean as "high note shuttle" and while most of the time it is usually a main vocalist, as long as they have someone to hit high notes then it should be fine. In the current top 9 Yujin, Ruiqi and Mashiro have all hit higher notes (D5/Eb5) and I'm pretty sure Dayeon could do that as well so I think Chaehyun being the only real vocal can actually happen

I don't think Yujin will get the Gaeun treatment, because even if she's older than the other contestants it isn't obvious. She fits cute concepts and is pretty young looking. They also know that people are going to mention what happened during produce 101 if she doesn't make it.

Yeah..more than that Chaehyun is a really soft mixer, like that is why she never tries out for main vocal parts and she seems to be unconfident performing live, which is a shame. To the average listener, Bora sounds much stronger, and Bora is also more confident.

It depends on the concept, if it is girl crush then I do not think Yujin will be center, rather they will assign Yeseo the role of center, but if it is mystical/dual concept then I see Yujin as center and them having 2 main vocals, Bora and Chaehyun, and with the current criticism groups are getting for vocals, MNET will probably go that way. Also they are trying to push Hikaru out (remember what Xia Yan said, Cai Bing was talented but not very smart in the sense she didn't realize she could get evil edited, and she probably also was hit hardest by the language barrier like Liang Jiao out of all the C girls. I think Hikaru's image too could be tainted like that, she's very young, has a sizable group of haters (poor girl) and she is known to be super close to Ruiqi [Now so is Xiaoting, but there's been Pann users bringing it up but the Xiaoting fanbase is loyally standing by her] )

I like Hikaru, she's a lot of fun but I wonder if they will go for Bora, that's a leader, main vocalist (remember she's probably the most confident vocal-wise on stage) and someone with a fun personality. Or maybe they'll fudge the votes like how Han Hyeri was 11th but instead Yeonjung (she was my IOI bias don't come for me) got in because of her vocals.

I think they'll just try to evil edit her OR overall evil edit the girls vocals overall, so that viewers realize we need a main vocalist. The best case is them adding a 10th member (you can't argue with Bora being added, she's the least "problematic" to viewers K, C and J alike) and promoting for 999 days.

I feel like I can't give a "real" prediction until the last Elimination round but let's play.

1. Shen Xiaoting: she is just her own planet lol

2. Yurina Kawaguchi: alongside Xiao, I feel like these two have their debut almost confirmed

3. Choi Yujin: because I need her to have a beautiful journey, I need to

4. Hikaru Ezaki: she's badass, she earned this through hard work

5. Su Ruiqi: she is amazing

6. Kim Dayeon: the leader right there, she has shown that she is worth it

7-8-9: Mashiro Sakamoto, Huang Xingqiao, Kim Chaehyun: I don't have thoughts, more like they are in the Top and maybe they will make it.

I wish I can say Cai Bing will make it, but idk, the edit is hard on her and now that is one-girl vote seems really hard.

Wen Zhe her charisma is no joke, and she has talent too, but she needs like a HUGE support and it is hard to actually she that happening

Xiaoting has a really strong fandom, though Dayeon’s has risen a lot lately, so #1 is likely between the two

The top 7 I named I’m sure will make it. That makes those spots for 8&9

I highly doubt the final lineup will have only 1 C-Group girl. Only reason I put Ruiqi as an idk now is due to her loss of support in Korea, and how she just has enough K-votes to make it by while being hard carried by I-votes. And then there’s Xingqiao who is the opposite affect. Not so popular internationally, but very loved in Korea. And Yaning has risen a lot, proving she’s stronger with 1 vote than 3 vote

Then there’s Yeseo & Bora. As of now, I still think Yeseo has the higher shot. Bora right now is on the verge of being eliminated, but with her likely high note to soon wow the judges, I’m sure she’ll be saved with Planet Pass, then should be good from that point on

Crazy enough, maybe they will add 1 more member with Planet Pass & make it a 10 member GG
