Because of Joy's dating scandal, there are barely any articles about Lucas

how would they know this was coming tho? their response didn't seem prepared and they woke their employees at 4am for an emergency meeting. this clearly caught them off guard. i had say it's a coincidence because they have so many artists under their label and their news are bound to clash.

No way, a few days ago people were saying they released the news because of Jessica, now this. I think the reason they released it was to get ahead on the rumors and be the ones who break the news on their own terms, since that tabloid was blackmailing them (as proven by the pictures they released immediately after Joy and Crush confirmed it). As well as that, Lucas' ex revealed he contacted her after she published her post, and didn't mention anything about her contacting him before it to let him know she's gonna expose him or him contacting her before to stop her so I believe he was blindsided. 

People are really putting their tinfoil hats on.

Oh my god. I'm pretty sure they confirmed because they were going to release pics of them on a date. Her dating news was not to cover Lucas or to shadow Jessica's news. Dating news is so minor.

It's like Seungri fans thinking GD and Jennie's dating news was to cover for him. No one cared about them.

well of course it is(!). my first kpop long-term interest was DBSK so I kinda dived in head first into all sorts of theories. I think they used some chaebol scandal then too. and for YC solo gig later.
