Interesting. Usually companies jump on BTS' cloud, I found it weird that they tried to block Megan.

Last year, they tried to block her from releasing her "Good News" album. Her label that releases her music has been trying to block her success for awhile now.

Weird. In this way, they not only lose their current artist but also their reputation and future artists too.

She sued them last year.

They tried to promote another one of their artists as the new Megan Thee Stallion but failed for obvious reasons.

i never get this with western companies like... megan is literally in her peak right now, making that money. why would you want to fuck up your own artist. i've heard of companies milking their artists until they've become exhausted, physically and mentally, but to just not promote one of the trendiest artists right now is plain weird lol.

They probably thought she was going to fall off and didn't have faith in her. There's a reason she signed with Roc Nation so they can promote/manage her. Her other label handles her music but she can't get out of the contract. I think she signed with them at 20 and didn't read the contract's details too well.

https://www.complex.com/music/2020/03/1501-certified-entertainment-artists-speak-out Here's some info about what former artists of the label has said about her record label. They're based out in Houston and is owned by a former baseball player. I think she has to wait out the end of her contract or something. Western labels have slave contracts just like in Korea.

They sign young rappers and promise them the world then start pulling their strings after.

that feature is so random. as most features are I guess.

but good for her. I don't care for most BTS's remix and fts but like somebody actually fought to get it released so I hope it's gonna be more than a perfunctory drop to keep the song going on the charts.
