shoutout to what started my first entry into getting on the computer, which was the jumpstart series lmao i'm just surprised those were on sale when i was a kid since these games were so old

and then my obsession with free flash games began. cake maniaaaa was that bitch

and i always remember my dad's pc had this pre-installed program where you can download demos of flash games and i played these so much

and earlier than that, i used to play Shrek 2 Activity Centre (this was my favourite) Detective Barbie and the mystery of the carnival and when i was really young a Thomas the Tank engine game that i cant remember the name of, all i can remember was cleaning and painting the trains in it

There's just way too many Mario and FF games to put them all here but here's other games that I remember off the top of my head

One of the first games I ever played was jumpstart 2nd grade...I remember that I loved the shoo fly, noun, and race songs, lmao. There was also this rugrats game that I loved. I don't remember what it was called, but I still have it somewhere. I also remember loving purble place and that pinball game.

idk if this counts, but I was also obsessed with poptropica from the ages of like, 11-13

Wizard 101 tbh. When I was 10 my sister snitches on me cuz I was playinv pirates of Caribbean mmo, even tho it is 10 and up game, ig they Thot its too violent. So I moved in to w101 after seeing some commercial. I played that for years even. Then I moved in to another mmo that I still play occasionally but it's not as active... all my friends left it so idk anyone, and I don't have computer and it's a pain on laptop. Also I'm max level on my char and really lazy to level up another or perfect my gear.

The game is grand fantasia BTW. It's also a broken game money wise bc theres this gambling thing like loot boxes esque, called mclay, to get rare items or you can lose the clay or get shitty items. When I played most as early to mid teenager, it was pushing it to sell 1 clay for 300, now on some days you could sell one for 1k, and my chara has 3500 give or take. I have enough money for sure to full gear my chara and.. Several more at max level, but I just am lazy and don't understand some newer mechanics.

Similarly, I did peep back in w101a few years ago and tried remaxing my character but ofc, idk anyone... And I was permabsnned from the w101, forums when I was like 12,as well as my initial account with 3 max level charas and a few mid level pvp warlord gods. The forum bc I posted an outside link, and from the game for swearing. My initial acc was godly ngl, albeit the max level then was 50 and now it's prolly like 150 or sumn. I made a new account after tho and played a lil more, I quit around time of lvl 60 max and revisited it around 100 or 110. I got to maybe 70 or 80 until I gave up bc the bosses weren't solo able anymore. That's the thing tbh it's gotten so intense to make each main boss harder it's impossible for the 10 year old targeted audience of this game to beat it hhh. And being permabsnned from the forum I couldn't look for a party or etc.

The game has changed so much but I still love to grind on snails, mushrooms, stumps, slimes and pigs! The MS private server scene also still tries to keep most of the nostalgia alive.

King of Fighters because somehow, our desktop had an arcade game emulator installed when we got it lol. had a bunch of sega etc arcade games but KoF was my fav, mai shiranui bae

and then Pokémon Emerald and Harvest Moon FoMT through a GBA emulator hehe... less popular but Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2?? an amazing GBA game that's criminally underrated

omg all of them but I wanted to addd you could play a whole card game inside the game and my mind was blown at how well it was done for a game you don't even have to install on your PC like, the amount of quality 

 

For me I have a lot:

ALL the pink panthers, which was my life. I loved them. The point and click one especially since those are the oldest.

Ok but that one was hella scary at some point cause there was dying fishs with terrible scary music playing when you get to that part and I would just cry and not want to go that part cause it was like.. an horror game to me. And the fact that they kidnapped children and changed them into robots and they were super scary too, ok but the trauma

 

ALL the sims series, all of them. Sims 1 superstar was my ultimate favorite. I even had the face scanner expansion to scan your face and put your face in the game on a sims.  an obsession

 

ZANZARAH which is such an underrated game and way too ahead of its time. It's basically Semi-open world Pokemon but with fairies like the amount of effort that game was for the time. It was pioneer of 3D games on top of being so good. Literally no one knows it cause it was a niche. Some Russian girl is remaking an updated game with today's graphic and I just can't wait for it tbh.

 

Beyond Good and Evil which was literally the best game Ubisoft ever made, I rest my case. Also a very early 3D game ahead of it's time with HUGE World and very cool mechanic. There was so many things going on and It tooks forever for the 8 years old me to finish it, but it was amazing. I know they making a prequel (and its taking forever), but it sounds like its gonna be nothing alike sigh

 

The 102 Dalmatians Puppies rescues like yall don't understand how much hours I had in this game. So fun and for what? I remember especially overplaying that one.

 

I feel like I could go on for days (I had a new game every week) but that are the most iconic one for me.
