Forcing her to be institutionalized would prolly be counterproductive. Ppl adjust sure, but the thing is with therapy, such I've heard not work for her, it's not a thing that's just that the therapists are no good etc. But she's prolly unable to mentally open up, if I had to guess, bc why would she seek it out in other case. And I have some personal exp with this so if I'm right, it's really tough. Therapists can't help you if you can't open up, and for me, I have avpd, therapy I've never been able to open up. And I'm not dx'ing mina bc there's a multitude of illnesses that can cause that sort of struggles, it's a lot of amplified anxiety and trust issues. And saying this bc if I'm right & this is why therapy hasn't helped her, that type of person would not take to being institutionalized well, and they could shut down and decline more mentally. All there is to do is hope her & her loved ones makes the right choice that will help her get better. It's really tricky thing regarding being able to open up to help even if you want to. I can't even begin to understand how to do it, its really difficult thing to do, to say the least

Tho, I'm just putting thoughts out there, not trying to psychoanalyze her, maybe just put in understanding to people therapy isn't end all be all. Meds too. antidepressants, a lot of the goal is hormone control, the idea is to create more hormones that make you happy, but in my experience it was more numbing, that's better than being depressed, but far way from being happy.

I don't think it's really right to make assumptions of her motivations of specific issues like I've seen this a lot of her having a victim complex, or that she's an attention whore. I find it hard to believe ppl can wish best for her mentally and still think this way. I'm not up to date on everything she does bc I only know what I see on OH which I don't use much these days... But I've still seen a lot of ppl just dragging her far more than necessary, she is not beyond criticism and idt mental illness is ever an excuse for hurting others but you can criticize her simply and leave it at that without making grand assumptions about her. It just feels very morally wrong for me. God forbid if something tragic happened, or happens are the people who call her attn whore, etc gonna be like sad but still point out every mistake she did, harp on every word that doesn't line up. Mostly not right. How about just be like that from beginning. She doesn't get pass on being criticized, but the victim and attn stuff is too much for me, its being held yo a ridiculous standard, exp to an unstable person in public eye. She's gonna make mistakes, we all do

I agree on the therapy/meds part that it doesn't work for everyone and there are various reasons for some people what you mentioned could be the case but there are also other reasons for example some people just can't afford an environment that is not toxic so regardless of how long they were on meds/therapy it just doesn't work etc..

Jordan Peterson is a famous Canadian clinical psychologist and a professor but even someone like him can't help himself, he said he managed to cure his depression awhile back but now he's taking meds and still struggling, he's a very controversial figure but I don't wanna get into that since it's another topic..
