yes!!!

but kpop fans literally lost their mind over a song like loonatic, complaining about too much autotune and reverb... IN A DREAMPOP SONG 😭

I absolutely love loonatic. It's one of my favorite kpop songs of all time it's amazing! Anyone who had critiques is wrong. You're right it's dreampop and this is just what dreampop sounds like lol.

Okay, someone needs to remind me why I used to dislike Co-ed School's music so much They sound like T-ara on drugs!😍

Yeah, bring the sound back but someone needs to add another dimension to it cause it becomes a little annoying quickly. I'd like Stayc's producer to take a run at it.

Yeah adding a new modern flair would be good since you can tell these songs are 10 years old. Stayc I think would work well with this style but maybe as a promoted b side or something. The public still might not be ready haha.

I am here to make everyone like songs they used to hate. Just wait for my no playboy and tilting my head post.

I loved and still love No Playboy. Never understood the hate that song and Signal got.

People just don't like expreamental stuff. Signal was and is good (and the b sides on that mini were also very good). No playboy is a classic that people love to hate on stellar and nine muses were my "favorite nugu girl group" till they both disbanded so I will die on that hll.

Yes coed school was great. Their existence is problematic tho considering there's a legit criminal in their group iirc kinda ruins them 😭

I'm not sure if it's quite hyperpop tho maybe on tamer side of it. There's no company really brave enough to do hyperpop song, which I find interesting cuz they'll get songs written by Charli, Sophie, the founding fathers of hyperpop(+pc music) and it's just something kpop fans can't handle, even general west pop fans. Pop fans both ways are so elitist about pitching/"auto tune",and vocals etc, meanwhile Charli uses a pitched mic and it's iconic to fans. It's problem is music fans in general bc I still see on the indie music I listen to like missing real music without auto tune. Most things accused as auto tune isn't even prolly its intentional, artistic pitching not to tune vocals to right pitch.

In general it's just a genre with cult following, but very niche. 90+% music fans just aren't ready for the iconic, uniqueness hyperpop entails. I simply don't understand ppl who don't like experimental music I can't relate at all, bc not just hyperpop, theres cool experimental in almost every genre prolly but ppl are so elitist to pitching or new styles like that, it's so odd to me like why does it matter idgi

Esp for kpop fans considering for how much groups have edm/trap songs the main, frequent drag is calling them noise pop, read: noisy song. Kpop fans would mostly combust if they heard actyal noise pop hhh

Oh yeah co ed school was 100% more of a proto hyperpop than anything. Hyperpop tends to have more layers and more going on then either of the co ed school songs. I do wish kpop fans were more receptive but I also know that some of my music taste is a bit out there. I am listening to songs that sound like autotuned industrial accidents (I say that with love of course). I mostly just miss weird kpop. I miss flashy visuals and interesting song structure and mixing. Not sure where it went but I miss it. Before hyperpop was even a thing I would listen to kpop like the videos I posted plus some others and think "I wish there was more music like this it sounds really cool" and now there is in an even more extreme way. Do I think kpop groups could pull of faceshopping? no but do I think kpop groups could pull off iPhone and Femmebot and Mine and Unlock It and Dial Tone and Every Night (well that is more PC music but yeah) etc etc etc yeah. All the stuff that is hyperpop now will split off into smaller things as time goes on since this is so new it's all lumped together but I think kpop groups could pull it off if for only a b side. I don't know about k-fans but it's the same type of things I-fans are listening to on their tik tok fyps everyday anyway.
