I feel like that must be a loud minority...I remember loonatic being the most praised song on the mini when it came out and some of txt's most popular bsides are dreampop as well, I feel like the majority of kpop fans are receptive to that sound. Orbits are just one of the picky-est fandoms when it comes to music bc everyone secretly just wants loona to sound like whatever their fav solo was so there's always a different group of ppl complaining.

 

Anyways I think the groups that are closet to doing something hyperpop-adjacent would be Cignature, Aespa, and Stray Kids. All would lean into different elements of the sound/aes though.
