Is it me or Netflix subs and translations are horrible?

I watched a few dramas on it, some rewatched. The official kbs world subs were 100 times better than the c*** on Netflix.

I understand some Korean so I could tell how off they were.

Translations from Korean to English are especially bad.

You'd think the biggest streaming platform on the planet will get decent translators.

i agree. i speak korean fluently and sometimes the subs can be questionable lol

yeah they are, lol. my biggest gripe (including jdramas + anime) is when they don't translate whatever is written/typed on screen like phone messages, letters, etc

omg and dont even get me started on korean variety. other than the ones that were made for netflix, hyori's homestay without having the license to buy the rights to the music originally featured on that show is torture. it's so awkward to hear iu play something from her album, only for it to be generic stock music with no lyrics

Yes, they are terrible. I can recognize some phrases since I've been watching dramas for a while, they dumb it down so much unnecessarily

Terrible. Watched a Singaporean drama and the actors were speaking english. Actors would say whore and subs said prostitute.
