How do you feel about Zara being labeled a cheap clothing brand?

I follow this elegant coach and she constantly drags stores like Zara, Banana Republic, and H&M as being low budget trash.  I notice a lot of people from certain countries complain in her comment section because these brands are considered luxury to them.  Where do you stand?

I have 2 items from ZARA that I can remember:  A basic black twill blazer which is lined but the fabric is honestly crappy and an ornate black lace blouse which I love.   The workmanship on both items is decent but textile quality also matters if you want apparel to last long.

I mean Zara is not cheap in my country since we are thirld world but it's not a luxury brand. It's not that much more expensive than other brands that are not international and most middle class people wear, I think the problem is that Zara quality in certain parts of the world is much cheaper than in europe and the USA but the prices are much higher. Back when I was in highschool I would avoid it bc it was really bad but it got better. There's also a big jump in prices between one product to another and not really any difference between them, the materials/production or looks.

Edit: I don't know how it's called in english but there are many claims of zara using child slave lavour in their shops in my own country and I know in other's too so there's also that, I don't see any point in defending them if they are unethical and criminal.

To me they're more on the pricier side but quality-wise they're not that better than H&M's. Pretentious and acting like they sell high end brand quality but it's actually not. It's just fast fashion. They're pretty much a rip off imo of the high end luxury brand.

Also ethical issues (cheap/slave labour) that's been known for many years as well as recently they've had shown their bad attitude when they bashed Palestinians and fired their Palestinian model. They're a pro-Israel/Zionist company who only cares about profit and never cared about humanity.

These are what it means by cheap. Cheap quality, attitude, humanity, philosophy, ethics, etc. They're just "fast fashion and fast money".

im a teen with a minimum wage job. Shein and places like zara are basically the only places i can shop.

an example: i have 50$

if i went to a fast fashion store i could get about 3-4 shirts with that

compared to a regular fashion place where that can buy you one shirt..

its unethical but i really have no other choice

I didn't know there was a brand called "Banana Repulic" lol

Its basically the next step above The Gap, and The Gap is the next step above Old Navy.

These brands are not cheap in my country, but I understand if it is rich people's problems

They are too pricy for their very cheap quality.

it’s about time…Zara should be dragged for multiple reasons..most importantly the ethical one starting with keeping a racist xenophobic head designer…that bitch should’ve been fired long time back yet Zara remained silent.

I don't think they mean cheap as in price-tag but cheap in design or quality/value etc...

and yes even in my country ZARA's price tags are ridiculously high although other brands that sell similar quality products have a lot more affordable prices! good thing I never bought shit from them

they’re overpriced for the quality of their stuff. quality wise their stuff isn’t good and it does fall into a more cheap condition. so basically yes and no. quality and condition its definitely cheap but price tag lol no. 45 dollars for a pair of trousers with similar quality of forvever21 isn’t price appropriate or decent or cheap.
