[Exclusive] Kim Heechul and Momo break up… End of public dating after 1 year and 6 months

According to an exclusive media outlet report on July 8, Super Junior’s Heechul (38) and TWICE’s Momo (25) have broken up.

One industry insider told Star Today, “It’s believed that Heechul and Momo have recently broken up. Both of them have such busy and hectic schedules that they grew apart, and they’ve now decided to go back to being close sunbae-hoobaes.”

Heechul and Momo first went public with their relationship back in January of 2020, after becoming wrapped up in dating rumors once before in August of 2019.

This type of comments existed since they were both rumored to be dating months before confirming their relationship. It's not just them, any public figure who've had their relationship become public like this always faced this type of comments. This is what I dislike whenever public figures are revealed to be in public relationships. Although it's nice and heart fluttering whenever dating news break out but honestly there'll always be comments like these that'll say for example one of them can do better, deserved better, should find someone better, etc. especially now that they've broken up. Delusional stans always exist and think they can speak for their fave idols as if they know them personally.

This is the first time in the history of Kpop Korean fans, international fans, Korean Kpop fans and the Korean general public communally celebrate the demise of a "relationship". No surprises here, no one likes a mediaplay couple, even worse involving a member of Korean's NGG. The money being spent is crazy, if you're in Korea right now, you can tweet for free food like pizza, cakes, hot dogs, etc, provided by celebrating Korean fans. I knew this would happen because at time went on Korean Once became more vocal about hating Momo involved in a mediaplay. Why do we have to suffer for something not even real they would tweet in Korean. Now it's over but everyone needs to move on. Momo was increasingly happy looking so she's living her best life. Heechul is too.

Something felt off when Heechul announced that he had no regeits over ex-girlfriends, THEN he announced he had no plans on marriage, THEN Knowing Brothers offered up that Heechul couldn't bring Momo to the dorm.

 

I think she had either already walked or was looking at the front door so he started spinning to make it look like he had the upper hand.

 

I think cause I know absolutely nothing.

She kind of hinted about him in Twice's interview with Jessi when Jessi's co-MC asked her which Twice member she would date and she basically said she was dating. I think this is very recent happenings.

Not really, that's reading too much into what she said, it was more of a dig at the other members. Likelihood is they were already broken up by that point, the news for the starts and ends of relationships is always late

That's why I said I think because I obviously don't know really. This is all pure speculation but thank you for the info. I only watched up until that part because Jessi annoys me sometimes. Only was watching for Twice lmao

Her fans didn't like him as soon as they started dating. They think she's free and act like she didn't choose him. I know Heechul is a creep and all but she chose to date him.

He's actually been criticized by k-feminists for quite a while for things like his idol school scandal, various jokes he made on knowing bros, etc. but it was rarely translated or talked about internationally. It's mainly ifans who pushed the 'kim condom' thing rly hard these days, yes he does have many female friends and is seen as safe to be around, but a decent amount of that reputation came with his gay rumors rather than him being seen as the ultimate woman respecter or whatever. He's been a controversial figure since debut and I doubt that'll change anytime soon.

Mediaplay? You're super delusional. There were personal accounts of them being together in Japan years before the actual news broke. This wasn't a fake relationship.

Yeah when I thought he was GAY, I was like, okay sure heechul is kinda wild but it’s fine he seems nice and funny. Girls and gays can joke about things that they wouldn’t with straight men.  But knowing he actually dates women?? EWW. He’s said some CREEPY SHIT.

He wasn't well-liked actually. He's never had a spotless clean image. Some of the things he said, did and stood up for were controversial and deserved to be called out.

Other than what @AstroBaby said,

around 10 years ago during 2nd gen there was this variety show show called Oh My School and in the one of the episodes, one of his Chocoball circle of friends (it was either Hongki or Simon D or someone else) exposed him for having alot of female idols' phone numbers and he saved them with nicknames he gave them like, "bunny", "kitten", "foxy", "puppy", "honey", "baby", etc.. So, he's quite a player.

 

Also this:

This shows that he's not actually that serious for relationships and just wanna satisfy his fetish e.g. the way he always made Momo said those anime girl lines on variety shows. He also mentioned he doesn't wanna marry while he was dating Momo at the time which rubbed me off the wrong way because it was quite disrespectful to her. So honestly imo good for Momo that they broke up.

Also apart from that, few years ago when Sungmin got married, Heechul was shading him for burdening SJ. Heechul was acting like marrying was an act of betrayal to SJ and their fans. He is someone that you should not praise or think highly of.
