SEVENTEEN join the ranks of abhorrent, repulsive, dastardly misandrists

SEVENTEEN have added themselves to the ledger of misandrists, recently joining the list during the interview section of Music Bank.

Oh … oh the horror. How could do they do this? Betraying their fellow men!

Get me my fainting couch.

If you aren’t familiar, Korean incel groups have been telling on themselves recently, kicking up a fuss about that hand gesture thinking basically anybody who does it is insulting their tiny cocks. Normally, this would just be something stupid to laugh off, but the thing is companies are actually listening to their whining, which makes the fuss quite serious and terrible. In particular, Jaejae has been made the face of this so-called anti-male movement, which makes this clip funnier since member Seungkwan and Jaejae are close.

Have these incels tried not having small genitalia? Sounds like a problem they've brought onto themselves with their choices.

But are they making fun of the incels on purpose? I feel like it's a pretty universal gesture and they were saying 조끔, "a little"

if they were doing this a few months ago than no, but now? definitely. It's the culture war issue in SK rn bc those incels have been trying to get a bunch of brands and celebs canceled for doing it innocently, most notably Jaejae who as mentioned in the OP Seungkwan is close to, it's enough of a hot topic to make it's way into U.S news even. It's like the ok symbol connection with the alt-right in the U.S if you do it now it means nothing but if you did it a month or so after the Charlottesville rally it'd be read as an obvious dogwhistle.

Oh, okay, yeah I've heard about this being a big issue right now in Korea. I applaud them then! I wasn't sure because usually idols don't really partake in 'politics' or social issues. It's great they did, fuck the incels.
