That's the image that comes to her mind when she thinks of the Korean fans

No matter how much of a loser you think fangirls are, to go all the way and put it in a performance is..

The moment she returned to Japan, she's already promoting hate in front of the AKB48 fans

"When you hear things like that, do you think that it was still a good thing that you participated in Produce?"
"As expected, I did everything for this. For me coming out on Produce was an opportunity for me to bring more interest towards the 48 group HKT48. I was happy. If I promoted under Izone, More people [who know HKT48] will increase too."

Seeing Korean words like that disgusts me

Isn't she crazy?

There are Wizone in Japan too, but she had to write it in Korean. It's freaking funnyㅋㅋ Imagine Izone members performing in Korea with a grandpa acting like an AKB Japanese fan, Japan will go crazy for sure. I don't think she's even mocking the Wizone here, but only the Korean idol fans. I bet the people watching are all right-wing grandpa

But why did she have to write the board in Korean? The Japanese concert only has Japanese Wizone attendees

As expected this is so Japanese. As soon as she goes back to Japan, she's portraying the Korean fans like that

2. [+1,305, -6]
How can she ridicule the fans like that when she received so much love from them....? This is too far

3. [+1,269, -14]
No but there are barely any Korean female fans;; Most of them are ajussis no??

I don't know the content that comes before and after but just looking at the gif, this makes me quite mad? Like a Korean going crazy in a JPOP concert.. That's the vibe I get from this... Yet nowadays, Japanese people are the ones who are hungry for KPOP

Maybe ya'll should just stop being crazy.  Yes I'm sure she received lots of love, but there were also lots of insane people she had to deal with. And yall turning your backs on her so quickly kinda proved her point.

Meanwhile, all the major Korean Wiz*one fanboards/galleries found it hilarious, the "outrage" is so obviously from xenophobes who have been attacking Sakura since her name was announced for PD48, they do this no matter what she does

And thats not even getting into the fact that the beginning of the skit clearly portrays Shige as an over obsessed Japanese fan (dressed like a stereotypical 48G wota with the headband and an uchiwa in her backpack and all), and is ultimately just Shige poking fun at herself for being Sakuras self-proclaimed biggest fan, but we know these people dont care for context anyway

I suppose I'll be eaten for saying this, but that does look really tasteless

I see no reason for the fangirl to be "obviously Korean"

agreed, not necessarily inaccurate, but ultimately distasteful

and it's because the sign is in hangul

Kpop fans write their signs in hangul no matter where they are from, I've been to events in the US, Canada, Korea, Japan, and Thailand, they all write their signs in hangul. Theres literally a whole intro skit that shows that Shige is a super obsessed Japanese wota (just look at how shes dressed) who became a hardcore wiz*one because Sakura joined IZ*ONE (and therefore has the stereotypical kpop fan signboard), but including that wouldnt allow these xenophobes to attack her so they "conveniently" left that part out.

yeah idk, I've also seen some comments saying this is just an aspect of j-idol humour so you're probably right

That get up clothes are usually depicted as Wotas in Japan. Not “obviously Korean.” That kind of stereotype fan also existed in Japan. Sakura isn’t necessarily mocking Koreans but crazy izone fans and fans who tries to get closer to idols and invade their privacies. An example of the same stereotyped get up WOTA is here. Starts at 35:00. Arashi has mocked Wotas too.

As gnexus99. You don’t have to be “Obviously Korean” to be able to write Hangul. 🤦‍♀️ Even my sister loves writing in Hangul specially for Wendy. And yet she’s Filipino.

this is kinda weird no?

Nope not weird at all. Idols should also say something to their fans about their obsessive way. and I guess this is her way of doing.

"Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones"

but nobody cares when Murashige did mimicked tons of Japanese fans in other shows lol only when she did for Korean fans suddenly there's an outrage

obviously the outrage is only coming from right wing koreans who get offended by everything lol

Shige wasn’t even mocking Korean fans. She’s mocking herself as a fan who follows Sakura. Since she was in Korea, who she followed, blended in with the country’s culture she was staying in. Much like Sakura. A lot of fans do this actually. I remember a Chinese woman lived in Japan and learned Japanese in order to get closer to Arashi and go to their concerts. A fan adopts the culture their idol is from sometimes.

Looks like Sakura is getting more popular! This misplaced outrage is very telling

She has lived rent free in the minds of these pann-choa xenophobes since she was first announced to participate in PD48, they've been making up shit to get mad at her about for like 3 years at this point

Meh..its just a joke..😒 poking at each other between friends..koreans be grasping for straws waiting for her to go back to Japan to spew this xenophobic comments again..what else is new..thats why I said she wont be trully accepted in Korea if she chooses to pursue there..working around eggshells is a hard way to live as kpop idols (well they are living that way as kpop idol but a japanese kpop idol? Well the stupid nitpicking is going to be worse).. especially with community as toxic as knetz..😌🤷
