Do you have less respect for singers who uses falsettos too much?

When people talk about falsetto all I can think of is SOMI. When she was in Sister's Slam Dunk the voice teacher told her to use her full voice, and when she debuted with BIRTHDAY and then returned with WHAT YOU WAITING FOR she stills use falsetto. I wonder if it's because she doesn't release music that much so she doesn't sing live a lot or because she is still nervous about her voice.

SLM was in 2017. A long time ago.

I don't think you can avoid using head voice in songs because this is what enables the best elocution, the problem is when you use it to make a long note instead of using the singing voice which is more powerful

Falsetto and head voice arguably are two different things, I won't really dip into this discussion but falsetto is often said to not be a "true" vocal range as there's too much air coming thru but i'm pretty sure someone else on the vocal thread can explain it better.

Not really, no? Sometimes falsetto is used when singers don't really have appropriate vocal technique so they just switch to avoid embarrasment or it's just a style of their own... Some people got really gorgeous falsettos so I don't really mind
