So we are in middle of the summer season and there are some new romantic comedies on korean channels right now,kbs has trot lovers, mbc has fated to love you(korean remake) and tvn has high school king of savvy.

Personally i found all of them good but prefer high school king a bit more than other two because of it's more original plot and fresh characters :)

Marriage not Dating is the best romcom right now. It's such a shame that the drama doesn't get as much promotion and hype compared to others because it's seriously so good (at least, the ratings are increasing ;D)

Anyway, it's really addicting. One may think it's similar to Fated To Love you but with unknown faces compared to Jang Nara and Jang Kyuk but frankly, even though I am watching the two of them, I have a big preference for MND. FTLY reminds me of Wonderful Life. And even if it has hilarious moments, MND is just so much more refreshing in many ways :

- it's not the usual rich and arrogant boy vs poor and naive girl.

Jang Mi is so badass. Yeah, she had her heart broken by her boyfriend but she isn't sobbing all day long. I love how her character can be a pathetic slob in one moment and then, became an agressive drunk the other. Her personality is seriously the best "I know I am freakin' pathetic right now but I can't help it. I have to hear it by his mouth. I DESERVE IT ! "I realized I was the only one in love ..." "Was I a stalker ? (cries)" Plus, she is gorgeous and she knows it. I hate when most KDramaland's heroines can only be two types; mean but gorgeous or kind but ugly. The f*ck.

And Ki Tae, her future fake husband, isn't as jerkish as one would imagine. He thought she was the usual golddiger and mistreated her but then, the more he met her and the more he realized how sincere she was and so, he decided to help her. Obviously, he has his manners but he is a more complex character and his family background seems to be really interesting.

- it deals with sex, relationships, marriage. Because it's a cable drama, it's more open to those topics which is awesome because I think it's really realistic.

- You don't get bored at all. I just needed a few minutes, no, a few seconds, to get hooked to the drama. There is no moment you want to skip because of unnecessary stuffs, it's just so light. The interactions between the two leads are gold. They are just so hot together when they bicker so imagine when they are going to get married ... FIREWORKS EVERYWHERE. The family in law has its own issues but they don't treat her like trash. Well, she was drunk at the family meeting so I would say they are pretty considerate lol.

- Acting is top notch. Han Groo and Yeon Woo Jin are doing an amazing job at portraying their characters. It's like they were meant to act them lol (that's why I thank god that Honey Lee declined the role xD). Seriously, they are the two in my signature's gifs and they just sell their characters so perfectly. And their chemistry ? HOT, HOT and HOT. Whoever casted the two of them is seriously talented.

Anyway, long essay but I really recommand the drama. I was really disappointed by what KDramaland had to offer those few months so this drama is really a gift to me. tvN is seriously the best <3

I'm not much for RomComs but...I gotta say I've been enjoying High School King of Savvy.

I am mostly interested to see the deal with the male lead's brother and how the male lead himself survives in his current position. I didn't like that it strayed into another love triangle fluff bit...BUT I must say it manages to stay interesting. The last ep in particular was pretty intense, most of that accredited to the acting of Seo Inguk and Soohyuk (the lead actress is your typical..."haha I'm goofy and awkward but still like me~~" >.< and the scenario itself is so overused but the acting of the two male leads is making it work).
