i'm bipolar and i have GAD.

i just think this is so low.

edit: neg me all you want, it's the truth. there's no good explanation or reasoning for a concept like this.

Idk what the company was thinking tbh. But people are also jumping into conclusions too soon. I mean, many groups/artists have talked about mental health issues in their songs so it's still early to say they're gonna use it only as an "aesthetic".

In any case, I hope C9 changes the title because they're already setting the poor kids up.

Yea that's really stupid. Both things,  but worse with bipolar have become overused in disrespectful way like saying moody person is "bipolar" or someone saying "I'm so ocd" bc they're neat...using these things colloquially in negative way really hurts stigma for these issues. It'd be 1 thing if they're raising awareness or sumn but I'm sure it's not it's just phrases used in poor taste. Prolly I just don't have faith, esp from debuting group who I have no idea or context of, to do this topic justice.  Its so fked if they really go thru with these names.

Mental illnesses are not an aesthetic, concept and/or trend. It's because of things like this that the public doesn't take people who have mental illnesses seriously or treat them with respect. It also makes it difficult for people with these illnesses to open up to others and live life freely without fear of being judged or feared.

I'm incredibly upset by this.

Hmm real ballsy to have such a noise marketing, first have to see the lyrics to see what this is all about

Mental health problems are not a concept or aesthetic. On first view this is disgusting.

From my own experience... depression, anxiety and OCD are not enjoyable in any way and my life has been messed up multiple times by all three. Yeah, sure... real 'aesthetic' and such a wonderful 'concept' to experience.

It's probably too late for them to change it but I hope they (those who choose concepts) have a serious think before they choose the next concept.

This feels like such an irresponsible choice of concept for them. That said, maybe they will deal with the subject well.

they're probably too nugu to get much attention, i think bae jinyoung is the company's most well-known artist and since he's not in this group it may not get noticed by most knetz

Mental health is still very stigmatised and a taboo topic in SK/Asia so I doubt that it’ll be a big deal

Tbh bipolar as a word doesn't mean bipolar disorder, it can be duality or something. However if they are referencing the disorder in the lyrics or the music video while talking about ur typical romance I would be very disappointed. I'll hold my thoughts until the actual debut happens.

yay them for using mental illness as a concept 😍 i get if they actually want to do the opposite of that and speak up about mental health but is this really the way to go
