He also appeared on Produce
This time, he was the unrivaled #1

The parents are pimping prostitutes and distributing drugs
These seem to be the proofs that people gathered
The parents issued a statement but they admitted to pimping in the past

Tony himself claims to have dual nationality but turns out he's only Canadian
(First of all, it's also illegal to have dual nationality in China)

Because of the bad press he received, he was finally taken off Produce China
May 8th is the last episode of Youth With You
And he was taken off 3 days before the last episode

original post :here

1. Hul...

2. His aura totally flipped from the moment he appeared on Produce X, he seemed to be doing daebak...

3. Wow... You really can't tell a person. I thought that he would do well now that he went to China, but I guess we won't ever see him again on TV ㄷㄷㄷ

4. Wow F*ck..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ  Let aside that the parents were in charge of the pimping, he was all for One-China but turns out he was lying about his nationality ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. I don't pity him one bitㅋㅋㅋㅋ  Thanks to his parents' pimping and drugs business,  this allowed him to be on Produce X in the first place. Disgusting

6. Whether the child knew or not, there are crimes that can still be tolerated as "parental crimes" but there are crimes that just cross the line. I don't understand what's pitiful about him

7. From a golden spoon to a pimping spoon crazy

8. How is he Canadian and still releasing stuff like "One China"?ㅋㅋ

9. Daebak I was sure he would be #1ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

10. People saying he met the wrong parents are f*cking bullsh*tㅋㅋ He should've never been a celebrity in the first place

11. No need to pity him. He's a son who's benefitted from the parents' pimpingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

12. The 12th place got luckyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

13. Hul so he lied about having dual nationality I don't believe in judging the kid because of what the parents did but he's quite problematic himself

14. Why would you lie about having dual nationality? To still claim that he's Chinese after all?

15. The parents are pimping + distributing drugs -> The fans claim that Tony is faultless. He shouldn't be guilty by association -> In China, especially because of the police incident, they are super sensitive to drugs, so people started trending topics about not debuting him -> His dual nationality problem also got exposed -> In the end, the situation became so huge that even the country's side? told the broadcast to stop filming for a bit -> He was pulled out in the end -> Nobody knows what will become of the other trainees... It's not about whether they'll refilm the whole thing, but they don't know how long the break will take. For reference, the fans are raising money for donation and raised 2 billion won

Apparently the show was forced to stop filming until the investigation is done, he withdrawed last night, and rumour said the finale would be on late May. The public reported many things beside his issues, although these are common in chinese survival shows.

i still feel bad for him, especially if he didnt know what his parents were doing. hes only 18 this year... so back in 2004-2006 when the alleged crimes took place, he was only 2-4 years old. a freaking toddler. why should the son have to pay for the crimes of the parents? i understand that it would compromise the image of the group and the show, and make the other members lose sponsorships and brand deals.

but i also feel bad for tony because his dreams are crumbling right before his eyes, and his own parents are on the chopping block for the world to see (and may potentially go to jail over this).

re: the dual citizenship thing, yeah, he shouldnt have lied but the whole one-china thing (for or against) at this point is just meaningless politics to appease one side or another.

i get that this is probably the best thing to happen for the group AND for tony himself (since debuting would probably get him even more hate), i just feel horrible about him having to be penalized over something he had no control over, and i worry for his mental health (because in the end, he's the one that's taking all the heat). that being said, he's still young, so he has time to do more in the future. but at this point, his career in china is basically donezo. i dont know if any other company in asia would take him either... i guess its just going back to being a student in vancouver (which isnt too bad).

Yeah like, I don't get the comments saying "I don't pity him one bit" "he benefited from his parents' crimes" when he was basically a baby when that happened. It's not his fault by any means and he probably didn't have any idea of that.

Anyway I think leaving was for the best because he would've been dragging this scandal during all his career but it's still really sad and unfair that he went from being 100% guaranteed to debut as center to disappear from the face of the earth because nobody in the entertainment industry is gonna want him now.

i totally agree... he's basically blacklisted in the entire chinese music industry (and probably korea too) for the actions of his parents, that he probably was unaware of. ive seen so many i-fans jumping on the hate bandwagon too, but i havent seen ANYONE consider the fact that he was literally 2-4 years old when his parents allegedly owned that KTV. sigh.... i just hope hes okay.

He was already excluded from the final line up of P1Harmony so that's why he probably left FNC and decided to try luck in China but...this happened 😕 Honestly I feel really bad for him. He's only 18 and already going through all this mess when he was basically a baby when his parents commited these crimes.

And yeah, I saw many hypocritical i-fans jumping in the bandwagon too as if it was his freaking fault. A lot of them are probably happy because with him gone they think their faves could have a chance to climb to the top 9 now.
