Are slim and skinny jeans cancelled?

The debate is that Skinny and slim cut jeans are out, and straight/loose fit jeans are in.  Gen Z support the baggy look, and Millennials are clinging on to their skinny's.  What side are you on?  Or do you own both?

I wore the baggy style as pre-teen. I'm too short for that anyway. Keeping my style. Don't care what these kids say.

I can do baggy if its tapered.  I don't want to go back to ripped and dirty cuffs on my pants!

I dont really care about trends or styles. I wear whatever I feel like according to my mood. From a styling perspective, the skinny/slim fit elongates the legs better and show better body proportions. Its more flattering to your figure. Baggy/loose style just feels more comfortable and breathable.  So if I feel like I wanna look fab or on a date, to give an impression, I'd wear the slim fit. If I feel lazy or in the mood for laid-back, stress-free and relaxing vibes, I go for the loose/baggy fit.

Seems like Gen Z bringing the late 90s back with baggy pants. Will we see low-rise and bell-bottom jeans next from the next gen? Those jeans were 'in' in the early 2000s. But I never really liked them. And then pre- to early 2010s, it was the high-waisted jeans. Not sure if coincidental or intentional, it seems like a cycle at this point.

I don't care if skinny jeans go out of style I realllllllllly hate the style of jeans that are baggy and bundle around the ankle . Skinny jeans are preferable but doesn't have to be for me. But if my jeans r too long that they bundle around ankle I will cut and/or cuff them. Idec if my cut is shitty I just hate the look of wearing jeans that are too much longer than my legs which turns out is about half my jeans. I have a streetwear subscription box and when they send jeans,  well I'm a girl and 5'8 which is avg for man but I feel like on shorter side so my legs are prolly short compared to average male legs? So yup I cut those jeans hhh

I choose skinny, cause i'm a late millenial XD. Jk the real reason is all my weight is on my waist so i rarely find good skinny jeans to fit me and don't be baggy at the ankles, which leaves me with a weird mid between these two styles, and I HATE IT. I'm also short, so chubbiness and shortness, definitely don't match with baggy jeans in my case.

I personally prefer skinny jeans, I think they work better with my body and look more flattering on me than baggy jeans would. I don’t care much for trends, I just wear what I think suits me better, which in this case, is skinny jeans.

Tight clothes make me uncomfy so I'm happy now is easier to find baggy jeans. And I don't think skinny jeans are cancelled it's just a personal choice and they are easier to match with other clothes imo anyways is not like I go out that much to care about my clothes 677089873831919616.png?v=1

Same.

Neither skinny or straight flatters my figure so I don't wear either of them. I have no horse in this race. I wear what looks good on me and what I like, not what's in trend (at least not purposely on trend).

I don't care as long as it's high waisted

This 100% I wear any kind of jeans as long as they're high waist, skirts and shorts gotta be high waist too, I'm a "millennial" I don't care about fashion trends I just wear what I like

yeah but the gen z style is baggy jeans and really cropped, thin shirts that only look nice if you are skinny lmao
not that im defending the millennial style, I don't like skinny jeans....as a '97 who is classed as both im just confused

That's kinda true you really have to find the right baggy jeans if your not thin with a mostly flat stomach or something weird can happen, I do think skinny jeans are more versatile,

unrelated but omg I bought these adorable mom jeans that fit absolutely perfectly except the waist was just a tiny bit too tight (and no elastane in the denim), and I considered exchanging them for a size up but ended up just returning them because I didn't know if the next size would fit as well.  Next day, I regretted it, and went to buy the bigger size... already sold out!!

They were advertised as mom jeans, but they were really a high-waisted straight leg.  Fitted through waist and thighs.  Ugh, I'm so bummed.

I like my skinnies too though.

I couldn't care less about trends, so I'll keep my slim jeans, even better if they're high waist.

Let's be real baggy clothes only suit skinny people most of the time anyway.

Its funny because they used to say this about skinny jeans lol.

True ! But for the skinny ones it was because they felt it was "showing too much" "too tight"...

But for baggy clothes let's be real it's really easy to have them make you look like you're either pregnant or 20lbs bigger if you're not skinny, well I may be biased because I always hated non-fitted clothes except for hoodies
