1. Looks like his fans are really doing the best to support him but if he wants to pay them back, he needs to practice more

2. He can't sing and doesn't show any sincerity

3. Wow I'm surprised but for all the bad reasons... He really needs to practice more...

4. I saw a lot of people talking about it so I looked it up myself. Rather than him being bad or good, I feel like he has no confidence. Maybe because there's nobody in front of him because of the current situation... the fans and him worked hard to get #1 so he should at least be a bit more confident no?

5. His skills aside, I really hate how his fans are making up excuses for him. Even rookies wouldn't be like this. Even singers who have controversial encore stages try their best to sing and don't make up excusesㅋ every time he releases an album, it gets to the HOT category so I see him a lot and I know that he released a few albums already. He's a singer no? Should we really say that he's still learning considering his seniority?

6. Wow I'm so embarrassed

7. What is this ㅋㅋㅋ

8. Ey he didn't get one note right ever since the start no?? This is way too bad

9. Before talking about his soprano, it's just so shocking that he couldn't even get the pitch right in the first part... how did he record this...

10. Isn't it because the song is too high for Kang Daniel?...

11. This is too se..severe..

12. Uhm... I not sure if I can call him a singer...

13. When I saw his MV at first, I already felt that this song was too high for Kang Daniel. Whether or not he can sing, that's what I felt about his song

14. Who even sings their encore like this?ㅋㅋㅋ there are so many dumbfounding comments hereㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

15. It's possible that his vocal cords weren't in good condition but I've never thought that he was good at singing before eitherㅋㅋㅋ so it's not like I was particularly looking forward to his skills... also, I don't think that his vocal cords had anything to do with him not singing on pitch?

The Show’s YouTube channel didn’t even upload and/or deleted his encore stage nnnn 💀

The comments on PC 🤪... now tell me male privilege doesn't exist, the difference in reaction between this and the Twice article is baffling. Considering Kang Daniel has his own agency and probably chooses his own music, it's kinda unjustifiable that he can't sing his song...

Agree with the male privilege to an extent but in KD's case, it's apparent that he has a massive fanbase that would defend and make excuses for him. So it's not really male privilege, but more like it's a male with huge fanbase privilege. His fanbase alone is slightly bigger than Twice as as whole group.

I also agree that at least with Twice imo you can kinda give them the benefit of the doubt. They don't have much say or control over their music and singing. Most people don't really put Twice on a pedestal anyway and we all know JYP sucks.

Meanwhile, KD formed his own agency from the start of his solo career. He chooses his songs, concepts, images and writes his music; basically is in full control of his career that his stans even claimed that he's an "artist" but ironically he doesn't even have adequate vocal skills to be called an artist. An artist should at least be equipped with the training and knowledge that good skills should go hand in hand with good music. It doesn't even seem like he has proper and deep understanding of music. Not to mention, the flaw of choosing a song with a high range which is out of his capability but he thought he could pull it off. Big mistake. Who's gonna tell him? I'm sure he's rich enough, he should be able to afford proper vocal training unless he doesn't want to.

In the past, he was on the nation's level of fame bc of PD101, so I guess due to his popularity and his massive fandom he has now, it doesn't seem like he feel he's required to improve and work on his flaws bc at the end of the day, his fans still support him and he still sells alot of albums. I mean, the dude blew up with PD101 and was suddenly regarded as an it boy where he didn't need to redebut in a group after a short 1.5 year with W1 and then went straight to solo career. He didn't undergo the experience that most other soloists go through being in their respective groups for many years e.g. honing their skills, learning from flaws/mistakes, sharing lines, gaining experience, improving and equipping themselves with necessary skills before debuting solo.

Edit: some delulu KD stans can't handle the truth.

I thought they were exaggerating but this is really really bad. I know Daniel has never been a good singer and people liked him mostly for his charisma and star power but he needs some decent vocal training tbh.

I'm talking about I-fans (mostly). They were all up in Twice business, but as soon as it happens to KD, who has much more control on his music compared to them, they're suddenly full of excuses.

At least here nobody is excusing him. In stan twitter a lot of people dislike him too so idk. I think it's more like he has a huge fandom shielding him than random people excusing him.
