Designer decides to pull BTS Jimin's hanbok entry from charity auction after the constant harassment by Akgaes

Jimin's hanbok could've been auctioned and raise money for a good purpose and promote Korean culture through the traditional hanbok. However, due to the constant harassment by Akgaes (a fan who likes one member but dislikes the others) and criticism, the auction is canceled, causing the waste of a great opportunityfor BTS to contribute to the promotion of Korean culture abroad.

Designer Kim Rieul updated his Instagram account on the matter: "I sincerely apologize for canceling the first auction. It's been really hard for the past 2 weeks."

The account that contributed so many bad comments for the said auction piece is trending in South Korea.

Not to defend haters but underlining body odour is weird even if i saw idols sell unwashed clothes on charity like years ago o.o still its his choice and it goes to charity so, i wish they didnt cancel

Edit: nvm they didn't take Jimin's permission that's so fucked up wtf 💀

I mean it couldve been sold without emphasizing the 'body odour' part. it's kinda uncomfortable imo to have it advertised that way, especially when you dont know if theres any creep end up buying the outfit.

Anyways it's a lovely piece of clothing, one of my favs ever on jimin, i would have bought it if i had crapload of money tbh lol

For fuck sake i don't care if it's for a good cause or not, the fact that it was Jimin's hanbok should have been enough, not selling it on the Fact it has his body odor on it.

It encourage stalkerish behavior and we all know it.

I'm actualy glad that the "akges" did this, and that twitter stan ac is actually out of touch with reality if they think sk would be ashamed by it 🙄

Akgaes didn't do it. ARMY told them en masse that if they wanted to sell it they needed to wash it first. Akgaes are the ones pissed that it was cancelled.

the people being mad about the auction cancellation are jimin akgaes lol. OP clearly doesn’t know the situation and is just posting bullshit

the designer is a disgusting opportunistic asshole trying to capitalise off jm’s “sweat and body odour” the money isn’t even going to charity. most importantly, consent was not obtained from BH/JM himself. end of story. people defending this auction are fucked in their heads and should be ashamed of themselves for choosing to die on this hill for a creepy designer instead of JM himself

bts also did more promoting korean culture in a single idol performance than an auction house who’s selling this hanbok to creepy assholes. spreading culture my ass, they’re just using this excuse to hide behind their actual intentions which is to suck $$ from crazy and creepy kpop fans lmao

Let me get this straight. Correct me.

Thedesigner put hanbok for auction - emphasize it's unwashed - army is mad bc it's creepy - the designer cancel it - akgaes (are we sure its akgae and not solo fan) mad.

And the article was made differently?

Are you saying #solostansout tag trending in twt is clowning themselves?

Edit : so it was intended to fight the issue. Got it. I understand that solo fans sometimes are more irrational than group fans.

The article was written by a Jimin solo stan and framed as if other member akgaes were mad that Jimin was getting attention or something. In fact that's what a lot of solos are assuming is why people didn't want the auction to proceed, instead of it just being overall a creepy goddamned idea. The designer even refused to sell it to Big Hit in favor of this weirdness.

The hashtag was in response to these weirdos because we're so fucking sick of solo stans of all kinds in our fandom creating issues constantly. They've only gotten worse over the years because we used to just block and ignore them, so they grew in their own echo chamber bubbles.

as a jimin-biased stan lemme say these jimin solos are all fucked in the head and they have lots of growing up to do if all they care is about “spreading his name” instead of being concerned he’s being exploited and violated. did a lot of unfollowing on my tl yesterday, many solos sure did exposed themselves lmao

the fact that:

1) designer refused to sell it to BH despite BH offering to buy it

2) there was NO consent obtained for this piece of sale

3) the marketing and selling point is not about the significance of how and where the hanbok was worn, the meanings behind the design. it’s about jimin’s “sweat and body odour,” and that tells you the certain kind of demographic they’re aiming for in this sale

4) the designer would have done this regardless of which member lmao. he doesn’t want to spread hanbok culture awareness and enlist jimin’s help, don’t kid yourselves. he just so happens to own jimin’s top and wants to capitalise off it by being an utter creepy douchenozzle

the fandom needs to undertake MAJOR HARD lessons on the meanings of consent and ethics coz this has crossed the fucking line for me

Do solo stans think we will have a colective amnesia and forget what we all just seen on twt these past days?

Bitches first started complaining about the auction because it IS creepy but only because they through HYBE was involved, then when they learned it was actually the designer they suddently changed their whole discourses and started saying how normal it is.

The ones who stopped this madness were Armys, not akgaes, Jimin akgaes were the ones who wanted it all to happen, when we started calling them out they desperately tried to change our focus that was on them to some translator on twt, then for streams... Solo stans are fucking pathetic.

Thank you! You cleared a lot of points I was confused about!
Ewwwwwwwwww at this opportunistic shady designer. Might be a good designer but doesn't seem to be a good person.
