literally this

I disagree girlfriend comments, fans who believe girlfriend idea, are usually not allowed to spend more than what their parents give, you wouldnt get high sales with those alone lol but females are usually more loyal, both in real life and fandom life. This applies to western groups as well.

Do you consider your attraction to Hoshi to be platonic?

wasn't it 1st gen bgs that came up with I am married to my fans thing? lol

non the less ggs do great digitally & they seem to have more variety in comparison to bgs I don't how many bgs do Boy-crush or anything that targets same sex fans

It’s a good point, people seem to like the music that girl groups create so what’s going on? I think it’s a cycle. Society views women a certain way. So women are marketed in a way that downplays their individuality. And it cycles. Reasons why girl groups like Twice, Girls Generation, Blackpink, f(x), Mamamoo gain lots of attention is because not only do they make bops, but the members stand out as something more. Their talents and quirks and unique personalities are emphasized. But it could be improved still. Men seem to have an easier time achieving power within the company.

I think that boy groups don’t target male fans because straight men are generally not interested in stanning a boy group. And appealing to women works just fine.

My "attraction" to him is, from the very start rooted at his hardworking nature and talent. I see him more like a friend from afar rather than a romantic interest. I am a hardstan however I understand people thinking I see him as a boyfriend dream etc, but that's not the case. At least for me. I hope I explained good enough? My urge to protect him is due to fact I saw and followed him since 2014, not because i want to get into his pants, he is far closer to a friend or celeb I admire than to boyfriend. I do joke alot tho lol, I definitely had people that came to me thinking I am serious only for me to explain I like trolling people at times 👀

Otherwise topic is not 'me' honestly, I do not symbolise all boygroup fans nor our behaviour is same. So it's pretty useless for me to explain myself (like I just did) unless you see me as some type of proof?

the only places of which you could find loyal male fans are in genres like Rock/Metal of which you could see a boy band followed by an ocean of male fans don't know why that doesn't happen with idol boy groups! but I guess it's as simple as idol bgs just don't target same sex fans

The reason for that is male fans can relate more with their favorite metal artists. They see themselves in the likes of James Hetfield, Jamey Jasta, Randy Blythe, etc. Male metal fans find a voice for their depression and anger with these bands.

I see you more like a case study. Do you see Hoshi, his personality and his looks, as someone who you would date, if given the chance?

Also I don’t want it to seem like I’m saying boy group fans are all the same, and are only interested in dating their idols. But that is one aspect of fandoms that I wanted to focus on, because it illustrates the advantage boy groups have over girl groups. Yeah you can say female fans are more dedicated, and boy groups have more female fans, but why? Why do boy groups have more female fans? And why can’t girl groups do the same thing they do with male fans? That’s the unasked question I was answering.

Honestly, depends o.o I need to know him in personal level before thinking something like that. I can only answer whether I can date him or not after that. I am endlessly uncomfortable with being a case study however, please do it to someone else...

For rest of your thoughts, girlgroups try having boyfriend mentality alot as well, its to a point where their female fans are annoyed by it sometimes. I assume only reason you didn't notice is because you yourself Stan a boygroup? Because I am more of a ggs and seventeen Stan and GGs try to create this as much as they can getaway as well, especially if they have a strong male fanbase, if not they focus on creating ships. Otherwise it's not a issue of bgs having more female fans, it's issue of why bgs DONT have male fans. I talked about it as well.

They do, but not as overtly. They attract male fans by being cute or sexy. And most k-pop fans, at least in Korea but I suspect internationally as well, are women/girls.
