Realistic question: Does Brave Girls earn anything from all these hype?

We don't know the details of their contracts afaik, so we don't know if they have any debt or if they have to pay it back if they do.

They're getting a bunch of cf deals and appearances though, so that's good news for them. It allrides on whether their next comeback is a hit or not.

recently, brave brothers revealed that he sold 'rollin' to the distributor or something since it never made any money in the first place, so even with all the recent success, he isn't getting any royalties from it.

but so far, the girls have scored around five endorsement deals and probably a lot more incoming. but regardless, almost every singer in the kpop world makes their main income from cfs and concerts, not from album and digital sales.

From digitals barely, when cheer up got 100M of streams in gaon back then in 2016 it was reported the song produced $800K+, since the distributor and company take most of the money and twice were only performers they got 6% of earnings, so around $46K for the 9 of them, for one of the biggest song of the last decade every twice member only got $5K loool. So forget about digitals even if rollin is killing in that area, unless they start getting brand deals and a sweet amount of album sales and streams in youtube + spotify they aren't earn a thing, almost nobody in kpop is getting really money anyway.

im actually curious to see if their popularity will translate to album sales seeing as how momoland and exid had pretty low sales even after their songs went viral. im assuming theyre going to be a group with a lot of public recognition rather than a large fandom

In this article, their first big paycheck is enough for them to payback debts, and deposit in banks. I also saw an article about them looking for a penthouse to rent as their new dorm tho 🤣 So I guess....A LOT

Artists/idols make money from cfs, concerts and royalties (songwriting, producing, etc). Brave Girls have at least one of those already. I'm sure they're earning alot already.

Digital sales/streams barely bring money. You literally need millions of streams and download to make money off digitals and even then majority of the earnings goes to the distributors (melon, genie, etc) and the company so...

But on the other hand, digital hits bring CF deals and appearances in variety shows, etc so at least they're gonna be earning well from that.

They're probably not gonna be super duper rich, the average idol rarely is, for example with EXID the only member who's REALLY rich is probably LE.

Like others have said the biggest sources of income for idols are cfs (which is more common among females) concerts and songwriting/producing royalties (both of which are common among male idols)

But they're gonna be able to support themselves and be in a good place for a few years to come, Rollin's wave is pretty strong, they can ride it for a while.
