Will we ever have another plus sized male idol like we do female idols?

3rd and 4th gen have had plus sized female idols (by Korean standards), but we haven't really had a husky boy debut since superjunior.  Is it safe to say that we will never get another dad bod idol?

Idk who is swan, just looked her up and if this is your definition of plus size then you should add Babysoul, Suzy during dream high and IDNAM era, Yuri after IGAB, Apink’s Hayoung, Joy at debut era, Jihyo, Park bom etc

There actually was quite a few of female idols with more weight than usual and most of them were popular idols

idk what you're smoking but Swan is way bigger than any of those girls.  I mean, Suzy?  Are you high?  Park Bom was not a big girl when she was in 2ne1. The only one of your list who weighs more than a usual idol would be Babysoul.

I don't think there's been any real girl idol "equivalent" to Shindong

Market over-saturation will continue to make it hard for atypical (as far as beauty standards) idols to get the same recognition as those who fit perfectly into typical beauty standards

She looked like the girl in the video you shared. People used to say she has "big bones" and a picture of her standing next to Hyoyeon (and appearing bigger) even became viral on korean platforms (articles were written about this pic too) and was the reason why she started to lose weight and became skinny like any other female idol.

Suzy looks bigger than she is because of the bangs.  It's making her face appear wider.  The other female idols you shared are not and have never been plus-sized.  Certainly not like Shindong.  Kyla was a plus-sized idol.  If Swan picks her current weight, she will be too.  Moreover, if you're trying to argue that Suzy or any of the idols you listed are even close to Shindong's weight you are working an uphill battle.  Like, you seriously think THIS

No..?  That was like.. my entire point.  OP was suggesting that big male idols have it harder than big female idols.  I pointed out that the biggest female idols are the likes of Kyla and Swan (clearly not as heavy as Shindong), and aren't nearly as popular anyway (and have received a lot of hatred--more, probably--for their weight).  You chimed in with this idea that there are these apparently massively overweight idols like Suzy who are "more popular than Shindong," which makes no sense, because Suzy has never been close to Shindong's size.

Did I ever say that Suzy was more popular than Shindong? Or that she was """""massive"""""" ? Where in my posts? Can you quote the part? I have never talked baout success, I saw you mentioning Swan to define a "plus-size idol" and I was like "wtf", so I started mentioning idols who have/had a similar body type. I said they were bigger than your usual female idol which is true, Suzy received a lot of hate comments because of her weight in the past. Were you here in 2011 when there were tons of articles written about her weight? 

Anyway, my first post was to show you how absurd you calling swan a "plus-size idol" was. Looks like it worked.

Wait-what? I thought most male idols were 55kg (122) - 65kg (145). I'm 54kg (121 lbs) & I'm at the height of most male idols (5'9). They're beyond underweight, & look how I was saying I needed to gain some lbs
