Apink Chorong’s Alleged School Violence Victim Reveals First Phone Call Transcript As Evidence

Apink’s Chorong, who recently denied all bullying accusations through an official statement by Play M as well as her personal Instagram, has been hit with more evidence from the accuser, Netizen A.

After seeing Chorong deny all allegations, Netizen A couldn’t hide their shock. “I am surprised because I thought she would admit to the accusations, but instead she has decided to take stronger legal action. I will also continue to take legal action, but before that I would like to provide evidence that she has admitted to the allegations.”

Netizen A has revealed the first phone call between the two as evidence.

Below is the transcript of the phone call:

Park Chorong: I didn’t do those things for no reason.

Netizen A: It doesn’t matter if you had a reason or not. What you did was wrong. Did I do something wrong to you? I reported to the police after you hit me. But a friend at the time told me to just let it go because it looked like you were drunk when you did it.

Park Chorong: But this, the problem is that I should have told you this at that time. There was a misunderstanding like you said in your DM. But anyway I should have talked to you then on the spot but I was also a bit angry at that time.

Netizen A: But ok, so what was it then? Because of what? Why were you mad at me?

Park Chorong: Like you said in your DM, there was someone that I liked at that time.

Netizen A: Yes, that’s right. But I was dating that person. I don’t know if it was because of that or what but from what I remember, your friend said, ‘Chorong said that she just wants to hit you’, and so I got hit that day. What I remember is that you slapped me across the cheek while others kicked my shin with their feet and so I had blood bruises on my shin. It was when we wore skirts to school so the student sitting next to me even remembers this incident. And, what was it again? There were a lot of kids at that time.

Netizen A: So do you think that if you were me, this trauma wouldn’t last long? Would you just forget it?

Park Chorong: No, I don’t think I’d ever forget it.

Netizen A: Honestly, my whole body is shaking while talking about this now. While talking about this story. But would you be okay if later when you get married and have a daughter and she encounters something like this?

Park Chorong: No.

Netizen A: Because of that, honestly I didn’t have a lot of strength back then. I had a small frame and looked weak too. I still have a bit of trauma left from this and because of that every time I would see a crowd of girls in college look at me, I would think, ‘Ah do they have some bad feeling towards me? Are they talking bad about me?’ and kept my head down for awhile.

Netizen A: But you…you don’t really know the pain I went through do you? So I thought, ‘Ah I guess I just shouldn’t watch when Apink comes out’, and I would turn off the TV whenever you guys came on. But as I got older, this wasn’t the case. I wondered, ‘Why do I have to live like this when I am the victim.’

Park Chorong: I’m sorry, truly. I should not have done that during that time and regardless of misunderstanding, I should have talked it out with you on the spot, but I was pretty mad at that time too.

Netizen A: It is what it is, but you should have apologized to me if you were going to debut as a celebrity and appear on TV. Don’t you think? Considering I’m still living with the pain?

Park Chorong: To be honest, I did the audition in a hurry and came up here so things were just crazy. Because everything happened in such a short amount of time, it’s true that I didn’t think to fix all my mistakes before leaving.

===

Previously, Chorong filed a lawsuit against Netizen A for spreading false rumors about her. Most recently, Netizen A held an interview with a media outlet, claiming that they had been physically assaulted by Chorong and her friends. Chorong’s agency then denied all accusations with an official statement release. Chorong was then swept up in underage drinking accusations after a photo was released by Netizen A, in which she admitted to in her personal message on Instagram. cr.

UPDATE - Play M’s statement regarding the transcript:

"We are here to inform you our position regarding the recently reported phone call transcript. Netizen A has only provided a part of the transcript and has maliciously distorted it.

During the first call, Netizen A made a threatening call and talked about private life and things that were not related to the matter, which brought concern in regards to their unexpected behavior. Chorong first listened and apologized while not asking about the details. They used to be friends and it was true that they did have conflict in the past so she apologized for that but did not admit to the violence. Netizen A requested that they meet and they even tried to arrange a date.

According to the content that Chorong has been threatened with for over a month, Netizen A is telling stories that have nothing to do with the nature of the matter such as revealing past photos and only providing a partial transcript.

We also have the first and second transcripts. We will also submit all transcripts as evidence to the police. We tried to reveal the truth according to legal procedures, but because Netizen A’s malicious reports are continuing to be revealed, we will refrain from unnecessary stories as much as possible, but will disclose the transcripts if necessary." cr.

(of course, assuming this any altered..)

ughhhh girls fighting over boys. one of things i hated about middle school and high school the most...so immature and catty...nonetheless this doesn't necessarily make someone a bully tho. it's stupid af to fight over guys, but well it happens all the time.

as far as chorong image in korea is concern, knetz are probably not going to be as understanding so...

also reading the transcript it's very obvious the friend was asking leading questions to set her up. chorong honestly should of never even continued the phone call. but well she trusted her friend i guess.

Companies warn against their idols against this actually, I'm surprised Play M didn't when alot lacking companies did. Or maybe Chorong just didn't listen them.

Now I'm wondering if all Kpop companies do so because...this was really naive of Chorong.

Then again this could be someone she thought was a close friend. (the fact they even DM'd each other.) In her statement yesterday, it sort of seems that way.

I think the friend might get sued for defamation. Because I don't see any "public interest" for releasing this tape other then to defame Chorong, considering during the phone call Chorong apologized and the friend accepted it as "it is what it is"...

Of course, winning a defamation case doesn't necessarily mean Chorong image is saved or Apink career, but well..

Spoiler

In Korea, a person may be criminally liable if that person defames another by publicly alleging facts under the Criminal Code of 1953. People can be charged with defamation even where they tell the truth.

The Criminal Code states that, ‘a person who defames another by publicly alleging facts shall be punished by imprisonment or imprisonment without prison labour for not more than two years or by a fine not exceeding five million won’ (about $A6,000 as at December 2019) (article 307(1)). Moreover, ‘a person who defames another by publicly alleging false facts shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years, suspension of qualifications for not more than ten years, or a fine not exceeding ten million won’ (about $A12,000) (article 307(2)). It is a defence only when the facts alleged under article 307(1) are true and made solely for the public interest. If a person defames another person by disclosing a fact to the public through an online network purposely to disparage the reputation of such person, that person may be punished more severely – up to three years or a fine of thirty million won (about $A37,000) for disclosing factual information and seven years or a fine not exceeding fifty million won (about $A62,000) for disclosing false facts (see article 70 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection etc., 1986).

So basically this is because friends fought over boy. So no bullying? Just fight over boy? Assault would be the right word if its all true. Bullying is systematic, everyday issue. Chorong will be cancelled in S. Korea either way. Wonder what her proofs are and if this one is true. But the girl was kiting her really hard.

After update: So basically it wasn't even assault, just fight over boy. Its good they are sending proofs directly to police. Hanging dirty laundry to public wouldn't be any good for Chorong either way.

this again just shows how the writter is bitter about chorong being succesful, this are problems that a lot of teenagers go through this is not even worth your time. I hope chorong shows prove of the coarsing also she should come out with her name. She is putting herself in the spot light, she is threatening someone career, thats the least she should do. Defamation should also be punished, what does she gain from realising all this proof in a span of time? she is clearly enjoying the attention and she really wants to bring chorong down. She is evil and i hope she does get sue

Even though it's looking more and more like the accuser isn't the victim of bullying, at this point it probably doesn't matter. The court of public opinion is quick to judge and dole out punishment and, from what I've read, it seems that's already happened. Regardless of what comes out now, she'll be "canceled", need to reflect, etc.

I feel like everyone is ignoring that this person seems to have been jumped by Chorong and her friends. Like it may not be “bullying” in the sense were it was constant but assault is still wrong. If she never got any apology or anything, she has the right to still be mad imo

I'm not excusing such behavior, but hmmm "jumped" is a bit extreme. The friend was slapped in the face and someone kicked her leg. (i'm surprised no one pulled her hair - which is typical in a girl-fight TT)

(side note: i've never seen someone bleed due to being kicked in the shin, tbh that part seems exaggerated or lie*, but well i guess it could happen...*if at school the girls are not even wearing heels or any other type of out of dress code shoe)

Overall, apparently the transcript has been distorted so we shouldn't judge to early to begin with..><;;

so chorong lied about never hitting her, she assaulted someone doesn't matter if she did it every day

firstly, the audio could be distorted. in PlayM new update on the matter, they said she DOES NOT admit to any physical violence, here ;

They used to be friends and it was true that they did have conflict in the past so she apologized for that but did not admit to the violence.

PlayM also disclosed ownership of the FULL audio of their conversation so i dont know why you carelessly saying she lied.

You're trying so hard to find excuses for her.  Please stop protecting this idols as if you know them. It's embarrassing. She denied hitting her and now the victim proved it. Also jumping a girl because she had a crush on a guy is bullying and pathetic.

Except what purpose do I have to find an excuse? Plus since the very beginning in this thread I've said Choring was done and most likely Apink's career too. Before it was revealed it was possibly distorted. HOWEVER because I disagree simply with the wording of being "jumped" I'm suddenly making excuses and trying hard? o.o??...

Nah it sounds more like you and the ones doing the negging are pathetic and embarrassing...over an allegedly distorted tape....

I didn't neg you (or clown you) but your comment does come across as downplaying assault. Kim claimed that she was taken into an alley(?) and chorong and her friends physically assaulted her (I would absolutely call that being jumped btw). I'm still staying neutral because playm said the audio was edited/distorted but saying "eh she wasn't jumped, they just slapped and kicked her a little bit"...? Even if none of it is true, why would you try to play devil's advocate over the technicality of what "being jumped" means? The problem is the (alleged) assault, not how you would label it. Just in case you were genuinely wondering why people are so upset at that comment.

This transcript is mostly Kim doing the talking and chorong  answering questions like no she would not forget it l, would not want her daughter to go through it, as opposed to saying yeah she did hit her. So playm picked it up correctly when they said chorong never admitted to hitting her and might get the upperhand in court using that. Even though...chorong didnt deny either, when Kim said she slapped her. The question is, was the full conversation cut off? If it was, chorongs lawyer will pick that up too and can say she denied later in the convo.

Im not saying who is lying or telling the truth. I have absolutely no clue, though I feel like Kim did get hit in this situation. But judging the evidence alone, Kim talking on her own might not help her much unless she can provide stronger evidences in court. She wouldn't file a case with this alone, so she must have other evidences right? Those might be the decider.
