I don't know about the historical stuff here but shouldn't they have boycotted earlier? I think a lot of episodes have already been filmed.

They've been protesting against the drama ever since it was announced last year, where have you been?

I think knetizens will destroy and censor the k showbiz

CJEM and other big chaebol from entertainment should be stop this or creativity and economy of kdramas will be lose a lot

Cancelation culture and give to public too much power are showing the worst face

Both of you need to read up on how serious the backlash is and why many Koreans are opposed to it because both of you are being ignorant. Funny and hypocritical how international fans expect Koreans to know everything about Western cultures and history but can't even do the same when it comes to Korean culture and history.

Plus Jisoo's character's name is based off of Cheon Youngcho who is STILL ALIVE TODAY. Imagine a character who is based off you being reduced to only being a love interest.

So it will be better if screenwriters don't name or mention real people names on fictions

But I read knetz wants to cancel Mr Queen and other historical kdramas too

I'm not refusing my opinion about knetz cancel culture giving economic loses to kdrama industry

They're not giving any economic losses to the Kdrama industry. Them boycotting a few dramas doesn't even impact the industry. And in case you didn't know, Mr. Queen has already finished airing in South Korea and it finished with high domestic ratings.

the show haven't started yet... i'm just gonna sit back and relax, this drama gonna get high ratings

Have you even bothered to read why this drama is so controversial? JTBC claims it's a black comedy but black comedy is one of those genres that's incredibly hard to pull off right and honestly unless the director/writer was someone like Bong Joon-ho, I can't see any Kdrama writer doing black comedy correctly. And doing black comedy of an event that happened just 40 years ago is really distateful.

Definition of black comedy from Wikipedia:

Quote

Black comedy, also known as black humor, dark humor, dark comedy, morbid humor, or gallows humor, is a style of comedy that makes light of subject matter that is generally considered taboo, particularly subjects that are normally considered serious or painful to discuss. Writers and comedians often use it as a tool for exploring vulgar issues by provoking discomfort, serious thought, and amusement for their audience.

The fact that it's gathering so much attention makes me curious to see what they are protesting against so much..i hope it doesn't get canceled lol

There are several links and tweets in this very thread showing why the drama is controversial, you can at least take the time to read through them.
