i'm not saying we shouldn't criticize these celebs for doing what they do (call them out whenever you want, it's justified) but they won't stop posting this shit. china won't stop putting protesters in jail. the uyghurs will continue to get hurt - unless something on the scale of international law happens. i think these brands did the right thing by not buying the cotton produced by slave labor and i hope china gets punished at least economically for the things they do

Laws, especially international laws, are changed and adapted when a lot of people demand a change. In this case the movement needs strong visible supporters inside the country because political diplomacy and economical relations won't let anyone from outside affect it too much. This is reality. #everybodyknows but nothing is done. Let's be honest what these idols did will actually affect uyghurs and other minorities in China negatively. It set a tone for Chinese youth to ignore a problem as if it doesn't exist.
Choosing humanity and paying the price for it is always a choice. That's how our societies get better or worse 
Ignoring the elephant in the room when someone is really hurting and even actively supporting the ones who are hurting them is a choice too.
