Everyone took it for joke & never gave me a clear (or at least made up) answer. I know that I love my family and that I don't know what I'll do without them. But to put myself out there for someone whose not apart of my family (dating, relationships, SO), I don't think I can. I have always heard I was selfish. I thought people were overreacting but it took me awhile to agree & come to terms with it. People don't say am selfish only for this reason but for more. It always about me, it has to be about me cause I need to be happy. I honestly kinda want someone to invest in me, but I could never do it for them. I'm sorry. ย How about y'all? Putting your happiness above that of people around is not selfish, not unless you're actively working against their happiness. Fact is, some people do better by themselves, and it's hard for most to accept and come to terms with the fact that someone can be without a partner and do well; it's some sort of projection in a way. ย If you happen to love with someone, it'll naturally happen, if not, then you have the peace of mind that you'll be ok by yourself and with your family and friends.
