You remind me of myself over at the WINGS thread.......we appreciate your work! 

 

What kills me about smaller groups is the lack of promotion. At the end of the day, its promotion that gets them noticed a lot quicker......disappearing after a couple of live performances won't do anything good. I know its a lack of money but..sigh. Its sad to see it happen. Especially when talented groups debut and disappear b/c of their management.  I wish the best for B.I.G.

There are so many idol groups now. The competition is tough. Being talented or charismatic is not enough to make a rookie group successful these days. Its really heart-breaking to see some talented groups that debuted years ago.... barely surviving. You need a lot of promotion power / connections to get your rookie group popular too. A good debut song is not enough.

 

I noticed that its also very important to get your group a Variety Show or some sort of Reality Show IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT BIG. Especially international fans demand shows w/eng subs so that they can "connect" / "fall in love with" the members. Its also needed so that the company can establish the lovable member characters. The popularity of groups grows immensely (on international forums) if a group is doing shows w/eng sub.

 

I am into Kpop since 2007. i ve seen enough idol groups come and go. Ahh painful memories. hehe.
