BTS, TXT, Stray Kids, And SEVENTEEN Win At 35th Japan Gold Disc Awards
 

 

The Japan Gold Disc Awards has revealed this year’s winners, and multiple K-pop artists took home prizes!

On March 15, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced the winners of the 35th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

BTS took home a record eight awards this year—in addition to winning the Best Asian Artist award for the third year in a row, they also snagged Best Album of the Year (Asia) for their Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” and Best Music Video of the Year (Asia).

This year’s Best 3 Albums (Asia) awards went to SEVENTEEN’s “24H,” BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7,” and BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~.”

BTS’s “Dynamite” also snagged no less than three awards: the hit song won Best Song of the Year by Download (Asia) and Best Song of the Year by Streaming (Asia), as well as one of the Best 5 Songs by Streaming awards.

TXT, who made their official Japanese debut in 2020, claimed two awards this year. On top of winning Best New Artist of the Year (Asia), TXT also won one of this year’s Best 3 New Artists awards alongside Stray Kids, who similarly made their Japanese debut last year.
