It's been announced that V6 will be disbanding on November 1.

The disbandment was announced on March 12 via Johnny's & Associates' official website. As all of the members are now in their forties, Morita Go expressed his wishes of leaving the agency in order to challenge himself as an actor. The other members respected his wishes, and as they started to think about their own growth, they wanted to challenge themselves to the next step as well. Moreover, they felt that "V6 wouldn't be V6 without these six members." As such, they decided to disband.

While Morita will leave Johnny's & Associates on November 1, Sakamoto Masayuki, Nagano Hiroshi, Inohara Yoshihiko, Miyake Ken, and Okada Junichi will remain with the agency. Furthermore, 20th Century, which is comprised on Sakamoto, Nagano, and Inohara will continue their activities, while Coming Century, comprised of Morita, Miyake, and Okada, will end their activities.

Sad, only Kinki Kids remained. ;_;

For now, but honestly I don't know if they're gonna stay either, it's been months that there are rumors that Tsuyoshi wants to leave J&A too.

I really hope that it's not the case, they're one of my favorite J-pop group and in my opinion they have best discography and the best chemistry out of all Johnny's groups.

I agree. I've heard those rumors. Perhaps this would be for the best, considering the condition of his ear.

Yes this would be the best for his health, but I don't see him stopping to make music, if he is leaving I think that he is probably gonna focus on his funk music.

That's so sad to see something like that happen to musicians.

I blame Johhny's. I don't want him to stay in a company that doesn't take care his mental health any longer.  If he leaves, he can at least make the music he wants at his own pace.

I agree, especially back in the days when he had only 1/2 hours of sleep by night when he was still in high school with a panic disorder and depression, that’s just so awful to make such a young person go through all of this without giving him a proper rest or a proper help, he had to get trough this by himself. As someone that has a panic disorder for years I don’t even want to imagine what he must’ve felt at that time, if it was me I don’t think that I’ve would have been strong enough to endure all of that.
To think that he was called the busiest person in Japan during the late 90s when he was still a teenager is so f*cked up in so many ways + the fact that he said that he was so busy that he don’t even have memories of this period of his life anymore because he couldn’t sleep at that time is just horrible. He is even scared of filming a long-run drama like Kindaichi again because of that, what on earth was J&A thinking back in the days for real ?

I agree with you, I want him to leave Johnnys because of all this. It is surprising that he stayed so long, but I also understand that he want to have enough financial power to manage his life after leaving. I think he has a good financial accumulation right now. If SMAP member Kusanagi can get himself a $ 20 billion house, Kinki Kids members must have earned just as well. At least he can continue to earn his own money with the music he wants to do.

I think that he probably stayed for like you said financial power but also I’m quite surprised by how much respect he had for Johnny, if I remember well he was even the first Johnny’s who dared to talk and make jokes about him on TV, apparently he is also close with Mary so maybe he will leave after she passes away.
I think that he is not the only one tho, since Johnny passed away so many Johnny’s that debuted in the 80s/90s are leaving, even though I feel like the real downfall began since SMAP disbanded.
With all the works that he has done in his life he is for sure financially comfortable, SMAP, Arashi and Kinki are the richest Johnny’s so I think that he will be alright even if he leaves. Like you do I just hope that he gets to do what he wants at his own peace, it’s been a long time since he dropped the idol persona anyway.

It's one of the biggest reasons why he is one of my favorites.^^ I agree that it started with SMAP and even I think it started with Akanishi. After Kitagawa's death, so many talents have left the company that most of the names that really make Johnny's no longer there. Just last week, V6 also disbanded. At the end of this year Nagase is leaving completely too. ;_;

Same for me too, It’s so refreshing to see an idol so famous being himself on TV and doing the things that he want to musically wise and fashion wise without caring about what the fans, the GP or even J&A thinks. It’s just sad to see so many people making fun of him and dragging him because he isn’t the « perfect » idol that people wants him to be.
I was so shocked when I heard about Nagase leaving, honestly it was the most painful news for me coming from a Johnny’s since SMAP disbandment.

And yeah with the other members of TOKIO forming a new company + V6 disbanding it’s like a whole generation is over. Sad to think that we won’t see J-FRIENDS anymore.

He doesn't need to please other people, his true fans love him the way he is.^^  Fortunately, Kamenashi is unlikely to leave. I chose a good bias for myself lol

Exactly !

Kame is one of the very last one that I see leaving too, honestly I can’t even picture it, I don’t see why he would leave either.

I can see that he was promoted to the management team in the future. I don't think he will leave because he's one of the most job-focused idol ı ever see lol
