Does Brave Girls' success show that Koreans miss the sexy concept?

the thing is the members and the public hate the original concept of rollin' lol they prefer it as a summer song, thats why the cover of the album was changed 2 weeks ago

yes this ^

ngl I do think the original sexy concept and dance with the stools was a lot more interesting than the "girl next door" vibe they are going for rn, but I guess they gotta do what the public wants.

yess!! i still believe the sexy vampire hoe concept was awesome for the song, i cant picture them having fun on a beach (basically what the mv of the 2018 remix was) lool and the stool dance is iconic too

yeah they were iconic, although they probably also got rid of the stools to avoid these accidents

but I'll still miss it.

To be honest sexy concepts were nice, but Rollin' as a song did not fit the mysterious sexy concept at all, so I'm glad they changed it.

i dont think so. i mean the music at the beginning may have gone viral because of the army men for the sexy dance, but just that alone isn't enough. I remember that other fancams/videos of groups/members have gone viral by being quite sexual, but their music has not.
Who is streaming rollin now is not doing it for the sexy concept . it's more they are missing spring/summer vibe type of songs

At the time rollin was released, there was knetz complaining that they found the mv too sexy and dark and that the music combined better with the beach and bright theme. also this:

Brave Girls change the album cover to 'Rollin'' per fans' request as song continues to climb up realtime charts

We Ride is also climbing up the charts lately and if i am remembering correctly that BG song don't have a sexy concept. And Laboum - Journey to Atlantis also climbed up in the charts but unfortunately it seems that didn't had the same luck as brave girls

What I think might will come back is tropical house, even more now that spring/summer is approaching. And here we go once again for a wave of sound saturation in kpop since as soon as something hits big, everyone start to copy&paste, instead of trying to do smth differently
As for the sexy concept, I hope it won't come back, especially since companies don't know how to make a sexy concept without abusing and becoming vulgar and this doesn't help to sell the music. I remember there was a phase in kpop when the mvs were super sexual and there were group members who even admitted they were forced/felt uncomfortable

It could be but not necessarily. I think the song simple went viral, same that Momoland's Bboom Bboom 3 years ago but that didn't make that all similar cute/quirky songs suddenly became successful.

No, Rollin' was always one of those songs that people routinely described as severely underrated

It's really fucking catchy

edit: last comment is a good point, it's very much like Bboom Bboom. Super super catchy with a memorable dance. I don't think the concept was really important at all

Not..... really I just watched the original performance video where the soldiers crazily fanboying and I think it's just the song and the choreo. It's easy to listen, and the rollin rollin rollin part is very addictive.

Two days ago I was like "eh the song is just alright why people thought it's a bop" then now I put the song on repeat.
