does anyone remember when vlive used to the place your faves do like daily live streams and all kind of live streams

i am not following kpop as much as I used to do back in the day but I wonder what happened? nowadays a lot of content on vlive is like some short reality show episodes or other vlive shows

I miss the days when idols just suddenly turn on the live stream and go for +1 hour stream being silly or doing a mukbang show etc..

i think it's a good mix! it really depends on the group. one group is going to be really good at being consistent with vlives, like fromis_9 and the boyz. one group might rely on variety shows, and i think that's fine since a lot of the vlives aren't actually subbed and those variety/reality shows tend to be prioritized in being subbed. i love it when they're in their natural setting, but there's an enjoyment in seeing them play games too, tbh.

It wasn't like that in the very beginning but companies have been uploading everything on Vlive (along with Youtube) as well for a couple years already. Vlive is under Naver so companies are also uploading things there as some form of "replacement" or alternative to Naver TV (which is catered to Koreans). They also developed the Vlive+ thing which further encouraged companies to put up pre-made content on Vlive.

As for whether there are less idols doing these live broadcasts, I think it really depends on the groups themselves. Some groups got busier, and some might have preferred to do Instagram live. I'll also add that companies are more cautious nowadays when it comes to doing live broadcasts, as you could not censor something once it's out as fans record everything, which might be another reason why they prefer doing pre-made vlogs/shows/clips instead.

idk i guess it depends on the group and the feedback they get?  for example pentagon still does that, there like almost always on vlive  especial when they were over with daisy promotion  it was  almost everyday there was a member going live if not 2 together or one after another , now that they starting promotion they tone it down but they still go live a few minute these days just to talk with fans.

Back then vlive was new. Groups were pushing out lives in order order to get as many fans with in their fandom to transfer over. Now vlive is a staple part of the kpop community. No longer have to do that type of promo anymore. Tho it also depends on the group. A lot of younger groups will still do lives regularly. In general, nothing really happened except groups replace doing so many random lives with actual shows on the platform. Like someone else mentioned Vlive sort of became a substitute of Navar tv in Korea for entertainers.
