What do TxT, EnHypen and future BigHit boy groups need to do to become as successful globally as BTS?

honestly, idk.  since we’re in the midst of bts’ global success at the moment it’s hard for me to even imagine another group reaching that level.  doesn’t mean it might not eventually happen, but it seems a number of years down the line...especially when thinking of the time between groups like big bang/snsd’s biggest hits and bts’ current status.

anyway, that was a tangent.  i think BH Labels is doing a good job of building fanbases for both currently debuted groups.  TXT is doing extremely well in japan (they have a bunch of #1 singles on line music, which has more than double the amount of active users as melon) and enhypen already has the best selling korean debut album of all time on oricon iirc.  their domestic fanbases aren’t small and their international fanbases (especially in the case of enhypen) are even larger.

what kpop discourse tends to forget is that txt only just turned two years old, while enhypen debuted not even four months ago.  what can they do to reach that level of success?  i think it will involve time.  they’re already promoting the groups regularly, they’ve given them their own lore and sound/concepts separate from their seniors...all they can do is grow the fanbase, keep releasing music (maybe one will smash with the GP, it’s hard to predict those things sometimes), and get back out on the road once COVID restrictions ease up.
