Do chinese idols debut in Korea just to get recognition?

It's extremely hard to break into the Chinese market as idols as far as I've observed. There's a solo stan culture so groups aren't priority. Many of them end up going into acting because it's a bigger field and more profitable. I wouldn't say ALL Chinese idols debut in Korea to get recognition, but it definitely helps a lot.

As for WJSN, Cheng Xiao has filmed a bunch of dramas (although she does release some music). Meiqi's pretty popular and has released quite a bit of music and often is a host/judge on singing/dancing shows. She also acted in one drama with Xiao Zhan. Xuan Yi has also released some music and has done some acting. They're all doing pretty well, definitely more popular than they were in WJSN. With the political tensions, xenophobia, and how well they're doing in China, I don't see them going back to WJSN for promos (probably just stuff here and there like the Season's Greetings), but officially they're still members.
