That's a lot of international projects to create international groups. Is it me or it looks like they are set to get 2nd BTS or something? Groups like that could not be copied or re-made. Different beginnings, different roots, different base, different story.
International GG would have been more in demand I think.

BigHit are trying to create Utopia of groups, so they’re not really trying to have the next BTS. And plus most of them are either from subsidiary’s or joint ventures

With that said, when the heck are the girl groups gonna be revealed 😤 (and don’t let them be girl crush either, the concept is overdone now)

I don't know if this is about BTS alone, or  trying to remain relevant in the American industry even after BTS 🤔 I feel Bighit knows the odds of getting another Korean pop group to BTS level is low. In general, seems the new trend is localization. Establishing companies with in different markets and specifically picking members for those markets. (e.g niziu, big hit japan, etc.)

OT: I do find it interesting Bighit will be incharge of the training tho.

I sort of feel this announcement was released now so on the 23rd (rumored Bighit corporate briefing) information about the upcoming girl group will not be buried

Isn't this the boygroup that they had planned out for 2022 though? I remember that map/graphic thing with Big Hit Labels' groups timeline and there was a boygroup for 2022 but I'm not sure if it was meant to be a group under Big Hit only or it's this one.

For people complaining about no ggs, the source x big hit gg and iland female version are still happening. Maybe they can even debut other gg(s) next year as well through other partnerships/joint ventures, who knows.

I don't get people saying they want a "new BTS" though. I don't think Big Hit is trying to replicate BTS because that's almost impossible. They just want to have a lot of groups under the label precisely to not depend on BTS forever. It's not a bad strategy idk.

Now that I think about it people that watched i-land actually said they hoped that they save contestants like Daniel "for 2022 boygroup" so BH debuting a bg next year wasn't exactly new information tbh. I'm still just confused if there'll be two bgs (one only under big hit and this one with UMG) or it was meant to be this one all the time.
