DRIPPIN's Kim Dongyun!

 

During thanksgiving last 2017, Woollim's staff in charge of all these scouting/casting matters was bored and searched random names on Facebook. When they searched the name "Kim Dongyun", his profile popped up and since he looks really handsome in his profile picture, the staff sent him a message.

This was his profile picture from that time!

Since then, he joined Woollim and became DRIPPIN's longest serving trainee (even longer than Yunseong and Junho). He was sent to join Produce X 101 where he reached up until the concept evaluation.

He debuted with DRIPPIN in 2020 as the group's main rapper. He has a beautiful deep voice and is actually a great rapper! Check him rapping Dongwoo's verse on their cover of INFINITE's Lately (03:22).

And of course, the reason why he's scouted in the first place is his looks. He remains ever good-looking!

Wow what a coincidence that hours after I posted this thread, Allkpop already had an article posted about it! The bigger coincidence is that the pictures used are mostly identical to the pictures I got from my Drippin folder!

Yes omg! I thought about this before but it's still as fascinating. Thinking about Hyeop not teaming up with Dongyun and Changuk wouldn't have led him to join Woollim, or how X1's unfortunate disbandment allowed Junho to debut with them...
