The g.na situation is so fked  bc she was messed with and ruined any chance of career for her tho her voice/songs were amazing.

It always make me bitter bc her scandal came up iirc days after cube announced she left the company months ago. That shit is shady af I hate cube so much bye. I always think they just threw ha under the bus and it's worse knowing she wasn't really prostituting but got lied on (I mean believing her word ig)

But yea it general it's a really fucked up thing that happens

The entertainment industry everywhere in general is widely known for  being sketchy, shady, dangerous and effed up. Prostitution ring is common especially when it involved money and mafia/gangsters. The best known case we heard in kpop is seungri running his prostitution ring at burning sun.

Unfortunately, as fans there's a limit of what we can do to protect our faves. For example  we can protect them by emailing their agencies/labels/companies with reports of any defamation eg. baseless claims by haters, edited pics, sasaengs selling idols private info, etc. Only to that extent. However, its unfortunate in the case of the incident like the user above me mentioned abt g.na . Sadly cases like that is so common  and fans have no control to stop or protect them physically. That is the job of their managers. Its the managers fault if they are not competent to protect but then, worse yet even managers can be involved as directly or as accomplice. Around 20yrs ago, veteran singer baek ji young was a victim of her manager when she was a rookie.

"Before she became a successful veteran in the industry, Baek Ji Young was a victim of a sensationalised sex tape scandalthat nearly ruined her career. It all started in the peak of her debut when an explicit video of her and her former manager surfaced on an online pay-per-view porn site."

Its sad whenever I hear cases like these. It's up to the celebs to keep themselves safe or the better solution is to hire a bodyguards? idk /shrugs
