Taecyeon Asks (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon To Write A Song For 2PM After Finding Out She’s A Big Fan

 

Taecyeon shared his hopes for a collaboration with 2PM fan Soyeon of (G)I-DLE!

On January 29, Taecyeon tweeted a link to a YouTube video titled “Jeon Soyeon, a True Fan of 2PM Sunbae-nims [senior artists].” The video is a compilation of Soyeon showing how big of a fan of 2PM she is, as she talks about going to their concerts, dances the choreography to their songs on the spot, and more.

Taecyeon first shared the link with the reaction, “Mmm??” He then added as a reply, “Soyeon, since this is the case, please write us a song” and added signs for laughter.

Soyeon is well known as a talented songwriter, and she’s worked on (G)I-DLE’s hit songs including “LATATA,” “HANN,” “Lion,” and many more. In addition to penning songs for the group and her own solo work, she’s also taken part in writing tracks for other artists, including CLC’s “No,” Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon’s “Dessert,” and Apink’s Namjoo’s “Bird.”

(G)I-DLE is currently promoting their song “HWAA,” which has won seven music show trophies so far. It was recently announced that 2PM will be making a full group comeback after member Junho is discharged from the military in March. Meanwhile, Taecyeon will soon star in the upcoming tvN drama “Vincenzo” that premieres in February. cr.

Soyeon is getting so much love from her seniors i love it. First it was Namjoo from Apink that asked her to produce a song and now Taecyeon too.

If she's not involved in the title, I imagine they'll likely end up with a member produced title since that's what they did the last 3 comebacks unless the company wants JYP involved....

Honestly last year I liked Bird more than (G)I-dle's title tracks, so it's not as if the put less effort in her songs for other artists.
