Is it normal to pay for fanship in July 2020 and get the fankit in May 2021?

The delivery date had been pushed back a couple of times already. And the agency never gave explanations.

We did have birthday merchandise, an album and seasons greetings while waiting. But it's very strange that the fankit is taking so long.

Is it like this for other fandoms too?

With COVID there's been a lot of delays for international shipping. It might be one of the reasons, maybe they didn't print enough too or something like that.

I've seen some armys on twt receiving their fankit very late too.
