It has been a very eventful period for the worldwide boy group GOT7 and their fans. It was just announced that none of the members will re-sign with their company, JYP Entertainment, and every member will pursue their individual endeavors from here on. The group just celebrated their seventh anniversary last January 16th and while we are all celebrating that the boys are finally free from the chains of JYP, we can’t help but feel sentimental and emotional.

Nevertheless, GOT7 is not just a boy group with challenging dance routines, good looks, and talented members; their title tracks may have not enticed you, but their b-sides proves that they have a solid discography as well. Here are seven b-sides from GOT7 you need to listen to! (Pre-release songs not included)

I Like You

2014 – Got It?

Let’s start this with what should have been GOT7’s debut song! Just kidding… or am I? Nevertheless, I Like You is the perfect song to capture what GOT7’s concept was when they debuted: playful and naughty influenced by hip-hop. This song is also one of the best GOT7 songs showcasing the rappers’ skills in rapping, which has been less utilized as their career went forward.

Like Oh

2014 – Got It?

Now this is what should have been GOT7’s debut song! No, really, Like Oh is THAT song. The song is pretty generic, but for a rookie boy group? It was pretty damn impressive! The song highlighted the vocals of the members more as there is little to no rap involved.

"devilish primate intervention" made me laugh! Thanks for the write up.

We have different favorites from their albums but I'm too lazy to list them all because THERE ARE SOOOO MANY GREAT B-SIDES from GOT7. I think many people underestimated how good their discography is. They also have such a variety of styles that many different songs become firm favorites to different people.

I think it hasn't really sunk in for me yet, the fact that they won't be 7 anymore, at least for a long while. Because ironically, we are getting much more content from them then when they were still together in the company. Lol.
