I realized social media, video games, and random sh*t not only has stopped me from reading books ( I used to read +8 books a year), activity that I loved and alouded me to dream and have imagination, but has also contributed to my anxiety,  bad posture, and poor sight; at this point to deny that social media isn't our daily dosis of crack is to deny that we are treated like cash cows from part of this apps that trade with our data to sell us sh*t and try to engage us into to stay conected the most time possible to make them cash at expends of our mental and phisical health, so i'm doing a little experiment in where I will stay out of everything tech device involved for a week starting tomorrow, so wish me luck!

PS. I will use today to inject me the internet in the vein lmao

Well, that won't help.

I have an internet addiction too. It's a habitual thing for me and it probably is for you too. Going cold turkey seems like the easiest solution, but without a plan I think you will be more likely to fail.

I suggest trying to set a time period (like 2 hours a day) to use social media and stick to that for a week first. Or what I do when I need to cut back, I stop myself from making posts and only let myself lurk. Since I like interacting, it naturally makes me lose interest.

I need to cut back on my internet use too. Maybe I will become a lurker again tomorrow.

Good luck. Don't beat yourdelf up if you take a peek every now and then. As any real addiction, it takes baby steps to wane off.

It's better than nothing. Even just a couple days away from tech can only be befeficial for you; so I thibk if you do it regularly, you'll still be ahead of the curve so to speak.
