One of the biggest surprises from a debut after Produce 48

Is that Kim Suyun turned out to be a main vocalist!

On Produce 48, she's literally anything but a main vocalist :imstupid:

She was a sub-vocalist on Woollim's audition

A rapper on the High Tension performance

And a dancer on Instruction performance (easily the best dance performance on PD48)

Almost all fans, including me were pretty much sure she'll be a rapper and main dancer when she debuts. I'm not saying Suyun was a bad singer, she just literally had less than 10 seconds of singing time on Produce 48 that we never actually saw her talent. That's why when Bim Bam Bum was released, everyone was pleasantly surprised! She's got TONS of lines on that song but didn't have that much vocally challenging parts to conclude she became the main vocal.. until they performed b-side "Lucid Dream".

Soon after, Rocket Punch members introduced Suyun as the group's main vocal on Legend Club.

It's very surprising and endearing how talented Suyun is, specially if you saw her journey from Produce 48 to Rocket Punch. If you look back, that Woollim audition is filled with good vocalists and singing Ah-Choo never really justified how great singers Suyun, Chaewon, and Eunbi are.

Another thing is that she was literally a rapper in High Tension, not even a sub-vocal. Now, she's singing high notes on Woollim's song even with Lovelyz members being there and is leading Rocket Punch as the main vocal. I'm so proud of her!

Woollim idols are really unpredictable, wow.
