Do you own a lot of clothes or do you have a capsule wardrobe?

I want to transition into a capsule wardrobe because I like the idea of having a carefully curated collection of clothes.  Only problem is I'm a sales rack whore who can't pass up a good deal.

I think the same way. Having too many clothes can be a hassle especially if you only wear your favorites. Though currently I have too few clothes. I only have one pair of pants and they're sweatpants...  I have to sacrifice some money when the corona times end for new pants.

I don't have a capsule wardrobe but I also don't have a lot of clothes.

I do find picking out clothes to wear everyday very stressful, so I've picked a silhouette I like and buy that in a few colors.

I usually feel like I have too many clothes I don’t/can’t wear, and too few that I do wear. But also, I haven’t really mastered shopping for clothes like those folks. My shopping has gotten pretty haphazard because I’m still learning what suits me.

I have way too many and id like to have specific, good quality 100% clothes but i like the clothes i alr have too much

I gave away a lot of clothes last year to charity, thinking I wouldn't be using them anymore, and tried the capsule thing, but man, it also means doing laundrymore often (and the way I see it, wasting water). Clothes also wear out faster, defeating the purpose of spending less.

I don't regret giving stuff away to charity, but also found out capsile closets are not for me.

i want to transition into capsule but im a fuckin clothes hoarder and cannot convince myself to throw away more than 3-5 things at a time which for me doesnt do shit beause i replace it within a week

So funny that you've made this post literally while I was going through my entire wardrobe and decluttering it for hours lol

I'm doing it to, as you said, transition into a more minimalistic wardrobe but also because my style has changed drastically (which is also a lot more minimalistic lol)

I don't own a lot of clothes since I'm trying to donate everything that I don't use or doesn't fit me how I like, but I don't have a capsule wardrobe either. I kind of like minimalism so I would like to try to have a smaller amount of clothes and things in general.
