Drama Drama Drama 3,399
I don't know it they will be get the crown of last hallyu it boy like Lee Minho, Kim Soohyun, Lee Jongsuk or Park Bogum. But they are rising and have a big future. Jo Byeong Gyu https://www.instagram.com/p/CJidoflsNnz/?igshid=3qf5bteiydh3 Since Sky Castle his fame is high and higher. He followed success and quality with Stove League and The Uncanny counter. Yoo Jaesuk invited him to one of his variety shows. Kim Youngdae https://www.instagram.com/p/CI23gRIh3Wh/?igshid=1lpjr5846aszo He catched attention in Extraordinary You but thanks to The Penthouse success the boy is rising. If he chooses good gigs post TPH he will be big. Kim Dong Hee https://www.instagram.com/p/CJYQsA2D_4V/?igshid=htuqfh14zeja The succesful webdrama ATEEN was followed by Sky Castle and Itaewon Class. But his main role in Extracurricular the polemic exclusive Netflix kdrama became him in one of the rising names. Lee Dohyun https://www.instagram.com/p/CGcFdW3plZU/?igshid=1vwwmv7yfjtvt He became popular in Hotel del Luna but 18 again and Sweet Home with other rising it boy Song Kang are becoming him one rising star. Song Kang https://www.instagram.com/p/CI4T4edr9WO/?igshid=znywgvsxom97 Maybe he is so pretty boy but he has two success in global scale in kdramas: Love Alarm and Sweet Home. Particularly I like Kim Youngdae hehehe. Opinions from OHers? Who are your faves to the next actor it boy title?

Ghosty 2,787
Jo Byung Gyu and Kim Dong Hee are choosing really good projects and I think they have an eye for it, tbh. I definitely think they'll be one of the top stars in the future and probably will have a very long career as well. They're so young, yet both actors are choosing projects that aren't usually typical for a rising actor. In my opinion, they're one of the more versatile rising actors on this list. Jo Byung Gyu's acting in The Uncanny Counter is just... amazing. It's going to take them far. Lee Dohyun is good as well, but he seems like a slow riser, which isn't bad at all. It seems like he's becoming more known due to his comedic timing in variety shows as well! I haven't heard much about Kim Youngdae, so I can't say much. Song Kang seems to be really popular too, but usually his projects are talked about at the moment, rather than having longevity. Which isn't his fault since most of the dramas he's known for is on Netflix, where they release all episodes at once. I can see him becoming a Nam Joo Hyuk, tbh. People don't take them too seriously because of their pretty boy looks and average acting, but I think he'll surprise people with his improved acting in a new drama, just like how NJH did with The Light in Your Eyes. I would also include Jang Dong Yoon, who alongside Jo Byung Gyu, are my personal favorites! The Tale of Nokdu brought him a lot of attention and Search performed well for an OCN drama as well! I think if all goes right with Joseon Exorcist, it could really propel him to the top. Especially considering Kingdom won't be returning for a while. It has the same writer as Doctor Prisoner and Mr. Queen, so I know it'll be in good hands! Though, in Jang Dong Yoon's case, the lack of an SNS account for him, rather than just a company account, is worrying since that can hinder an actor's growth in popularity. He recently got injured falling off a horse during shooting, so hopefully that won't disturb any action scenes and he'll have time to heal. But these carrers as loved stars will never be the same with general public. And they will be hates as those scandals will haunt them for a long time (look at Kim Minhee, how she was loved and had great projects and where she is now though) as for Lee Dohyun, i love how he is getting there slowly but steady, though, I didn’t watch his drama with Im Soojung (and not going to, those big age gap dramas are not my cup tea). He seems very nice as a person and is very talented and charming, hope he gets his status cemented as the it boy and hallyu star
