5. [+67] The reason news articles said that he was innocent was because assault cases cannot be charged when the victim drops the lawsuit, which the girlfriend did. In the case of explicit injury, investigations must happen whether the victim drops the lawsuit or not, in which case Kim Hyun Joong was fined with a penalty fee for causing injuries. The fact that he had to admit to the injuries means that he probably would've been ruled guilty on the assault if the girlfriend had never dropped her lawsuit. Just because the news came out with "innocent" headlines doesn't mean that he never assaulted her.

Some ppl might take issue w that but like.  Why is he on tv yea... and still has stans. Some ppl use their mental illness as an excuse for toxic behavior and as someone with several (incl psnic disorder hhh) its absolutely not.  I have no sympathy. Not that i think per se that stamen t is tryna excuse but sort of brush it off by saying the scandal triggered him.

I consider him a bad guy and this doesnt change that. Actually having panic attacks is really hard. Usually triggeted by anxiety & is hard to breathe etc. But triggered by ppl hating you bc ur a douchebag? Gtfo. Yea abusive ppl habe issues a lot of the time but they still need to habe responsibility for their actions

fr. why is he allow on TV? I saw another post of lee soo geun and seo jang hoon cheering him up and told him to see those comments as advice like wtf. It's funny because lee soo geun himself admitted hitting the woman who accused him of sexual assault.

I feel sorry for him having to suffer from a panic disorder because that's never easy to deal with, but I feel way more sorry for his victims who have to watch him use mental illness to get sympathy and try to make people forget about his repeated bad behavior. that can't even begin to compare with the harm he's inflicted on his ex-girlfriend.

He was a bad actor that got a good character that people wanted the best for. The male lead was a trash human so that show frustrated me beyond measure because the MC shouldn't have ended up with him, since she always liked the second lead, but that show's writing and acting were both horrible and I don't know why I kept watching that trainwreck, nor why it is so popular. Likely because everybody was so beautiful it got its legendary status. The other actors are not bad actors, it's just that their roles were horribly written and they got such bad lines that made everything so messy.

rofl not going to lie I was obsessed with it too. It hit all those cliché horrible plot points that captured my teenage heart. I didn't really care for the main couple either (koo hyesun's acting particularly annoyed me) as much as the side couple of the best friend and the third important f4 member lool.

it was a remake off a popular Japanese and Taiwanese drama Hana Yori Dango/Meteor Garden. The Japanese and Taiwanese versions were the superior ones (and also the male lead in the Japanese version was actually more tolerable than the Korean version. Even the female lead in the Japanese version and Mao Inoue's acting was way better than the Korean version and Goo Hye Sun's acting).
